Maybe beat you? Hehe, we’re 1-1 right now in ultimate although I got blown up last Friday. I appreciate the offer but first let me exhaust all other options before taking your proposal. I’ve been doing a lot of theory fighter (since I can’t test anything out at the moment) and I feel Wesker/Doom can compete with Zero/Dante. The match up boils down to me keeping you out while you try to get in and the first clean hit should lead to a kill. I have to zone you out while avoiding the corner then go on offense when I connect with a either a gun shot or plasma beam and make sure to convert into a kill. If I can manage to get Wesker’s glasses off safely then the job becomes easier because then I can convert off of gun shot into teleport thanks to the speed boost (and here I thought they took that out the game, the lies).
Going 1-1 sounds like a maybe =P
I actually thought a lot about beating Wesker and Doom, the main two which were giving me trouble, after we fought the first time. My biggest problem the first time we fought was letting you wave dash at me freely, then I realized you’re doom and I can just press a button and it’ll pretty much beat whatever you do if you start doing that. Also not respecting him when he was above me got me foot dived a lot, so I kinda learned that after playing against a good bit of doom later lol.
Wesker… after I fought Garrett and he explained to me what he was using to beat me I was like oh… ok. So I slowed down and approached the match slower, didn’t fall into zoning traps like what was getting me killed, and it paid off. Just gotta slow down and not be so crazed to get in and press sword buttons. I’ll get there eventually lol
Looking forward to our fights in the future though, sounds like we have a good rivalry going :lol:

Tatsu assist kind of sucks now because it isn’t a free soft knockdown anymore. Makes it much harder to convert to a combo when it hits.
It’s not that hard to convert for people with big hit boxes. I’m sure Wesker can combo off of it pretty easy. Just not a combo ending tool as much as it was before. Still amazing as an assist poke / screen clearing tool.

Nope, it’s actually relatively difficult for Wesker. You can use s.L or s.M to convert, but you have to already be next to them pretty much, and the timing is still tight. HSD on Tatsu is way more than it seems, but the real issue is how far away they get pushed when Tatsu hits. This is what makes it so hard to convert unless you have them cornered or something. One of the main reasons I decided not to run Akuma with Vergil, as Vergil actually has a relatively tough time converting Tatsu on reaction, even with his stupid normals.
Akuma Tatsu assist kind of sucks…compared to the Vanilla incarnation, where it was the best thing that you’ve ever been able to do in a fighting game with the press of one button. The hitstun deterioration on it is huge, but you still get to combo of of it. You just don’t get your BEST combo off of it anymore, but it still cuts through whatever’s in front of you, and it’s still an amazing teleport mixup assist.

Yeah that’s exactly why I still think it’s really good. It’s amazing at cutting through the bullshit to get you in there. I’m almost positive Vergil could just wave dash and do HSH into a combo off of it, or just stinger maybe?

I’m so Salty for chris G in finals though. Do you guys know about the input glitch where it’ll force you to do your character’s DP super if you DHC to them regardless of your input?
Well basically Chris G did maximum wesker and saw he was going to run into wolverine’s dive kick, so he tried to DHC to the hadouken super. Game gave him his level 3 though so he lost all his meter and a character on a bug in the game. Heard he was crying afterwards but honestly, I would too. That’s some bullshit.
That’s some crazy shit. I was wondering why he was doing that super. Hmm, sounds like ass that an option like that is in the game.
Yeah I’ve actually lost quite a few matches because of that glitch, actually it happened last week between me an Jon when I tried to DHC from Wesker’s phantom dance to dormammu’s chaotic flame and instead got hist level 3 which whiffed. There’s already been testing done on video showing the input glitch at length.
I’m salty for Chris G because he was looking way more solid and just got caught a few times. It definitely looked like Eduardo wasn’t entirely familiar with his team except wolvie. Of course not taking anything away from him though, he did win which is all that counts.
Yeah he looked good though. I don’t know what I am looking at so it all looks good unless they drop something, lol.
That glitch is just one more thing that they will patch. It’s coming.
