Yeah I was a lot more impressed with Chris G honestly. Lots of smart reads and reactions with some new characters. Sad he took off firebrand in finals but I guess 2 low damage characters is too much for 1 team. There was some hawkeye projectile loop he did that looked amazing. PR Rog just doin the same old wolverine shit.

Jon, you are reading too much into it. When I said “tried it out with Vergil”, I don’t mean “I tried it out as soon as Matt said it was good.” I mean, I tried it with Vergil weeks ago when I wanted to put Akuma on my team, and I didn’t like how it worked with my team.

I’ll enjoy those Honda buffs until I leave. All I really wanted was the jab headbutt buff but damn that strong headbutt buff is amazing. I finally get a tool against projectiles while not being stupidly over powered.

Thing is, I would much rather play Akuma, as he suits my style better and I can actually sorta play him as anchor. I just don’t like Tatsu assist right now.
I feel like Akuma is better as a character than Doom, but Doom has more versatile assists. I still don’t think Doom is that good of an anchor honestly. He lacks that scary factor that Akuma or Wesker have, unless he has an assist to hold people still… which he doesn’t have if he’s the anchor.

Akuma’s tatsu assist isn’t anywhere as good as it was in the demo, but I still like Akuma X Factor as anchor. Infinite tatsu FTW! Akuma’s tatsu could go through just about anything before, but now it can be stopped. Maybe I’ll try out a projectile character like Hawkeye or RR or someone. As good as Doom and Wesker may be I’m just turned off to using them.
Fighter maker is the only thing I can think of as well.
