I’m still skipping a September EZ and going straight to October. I have plans on the 8th and 29th and I forget whether the October ReSe is being hosted on the 15th or 22nd. Are there any other tournaments happening in October that may have clashing dates?
translation: he doesnt want to get blown up in 3s and needs time to practice
quick question…anyone picking up the old MK collection? if so, for what system?
Yo gg’s to everyone who went to sneaks last night was mad fun.
MLG is FPS. Always has been and unless Starcraft II eclipses it that will be. Do you think the guys at EVO know how to run a FPS tournament? The fighting tournament was just MLG’s way of trying to expand. The sponsorships and money is in FPS (particularly Halo) and SCII, so the details and attention are gonna be focused on the greener grass.
I thought MLG did an okay job of running T6 last year, could have been better though… The only thing that bugged me was that they wouldn’t allow casuals during the tournament despite them leaving a number of setups vacant for long periods of time during the tournament. -___-
They are also mmorpg and as you mentioned rts. It sounds like their MK tournament would have been fine if they paid any attention to it. Double Elim being a better tournament format then single elim isn’t just for fighting games, it’s true for tournaments in general. Their starcraft tournament was double elim for example.
GAMES AT MY PLACE THURSDAY. 6:00 START TIME! PM ME IF YOU NEED DIRECTIONS.

Yeah as Fonon said MLG did do a fine job with T6 last year. I think this year with SCII growing bigger and bigger every year with worldwide competition and Halo being the thing that started MLG in the first place they just don’t care much about fighting games. If they had really cared they would have done a far better setup for MK9.
In other news I’m trying to figure out what’s the best way to transport a standing arcade machine cross state. Any suggestions? I’ve never had to haul something this big so I’m trying to get whatever advice I can before I fully plan the trip down. I thought about a Uhaul carrier truck, but I started thinking could I get away with using a Uhaul pickup truck or van. Any help would be useful. Thanks in advance.
If I can make this (have to get car from body shop + get car inspection) I’ll bring my PS3 with Tekken / Third Strike / Arcana… Also might be able to bring a crt as well…
If you’re looking for the best way… that would be to have a delivering service ship it for you and have insurance on the item.
If you’re looking for the cheapest way… Get a Pickup Truck, lay the machine on it’s side, and secure / strap up the cabinet so it doesn’t slide around.
Here are the rest of the dates for ReSe.

If someone within the next 20 posts asks for any gatherings and/or complains about NC’s lack of activity and lives close enough to make this, l will virtually smack you.
definitely!
anything going on this saturday?
Yo does NC need a roommate by the end of September? I seriously cannot take all the bullshit I get from my peeps. I love em and I’m trying to help them fix up their rental properties, but living with them has literally turned the house into a warzone.
Also I’m good at AE and decent at 3S and MK so you’d get a little practice from me as well… lol
I wish you the very best Brent. Get well soon 3rd Strike needs you.
How do you turn the side bars on for 3SOE? I can’t seem to find the option in the menu nor find any info online.
