If anyone can pick me up from my place Thursday I would like to head out to Jon’s. Its a pay day for me so gas money would be a given. Of course this is all dependent on if Bryce can make it out there as well since he would more than likely be my way back.
I had a funny feeling that MLG would drop the ball on MK9, was iffy about it coming true, but it did. Leave the fighting game tournaments to ppl who actually care about fighting games and know how to set them up. Yes, yes, T6 was a nice attempt, but ya dropped it after just one year. I seriously think MLG needs to rethink their name into MLFPS, just because that’s all they’re good for, if they can’t even handle MK9. Good stuff at ReSe, had a really good turnout. Could have really used some of the Tekken peeps for this one, but most were moths to a flame when it came to MK9 in MLG, which I don’t have anything against them, but felt sorry that it was kind of a bust for them. Really look forward to seeing you guys at the next ReSe.

If Evo goes to 4 days, who needs MLG? We just need to get a diverse bunch of good games in the community.
As long it has Yukiko i’m in. I highly doubt it will do anything for the community though since I can’t see it becoming “big”. Although I think it will be a fun fighter to play on the sides.
MLG is known for other games, SCII being the current biggest. I don’t disagree that MLG could have done a better job with MK9, but if the community doesn’t care much to come out to it then why should they waste time perfecting its setup? Consider last year with MLG Raleigh. Remember how many people came for the T6 tournament and how many were in the others? Why worry about a tournament with about 50-100 players when you have one with 1,000+ and another that’s getting global interest. If I’m not mistaken T6 had the lowest number of entrants. Lower than Brawl, which a lot of people don’t consider a fighter. If the players are not gonna come out and support it, why should MLG care so much?

SUPPPPPPPPPPPPPP, yeah there are about 3 guys that live in high point that play fighting games including me, but most of the games happen in greensboro which is about 15 minutes away, but yeah ill be more then happy to play you in some soul caliBURRRRRR.
also LOL at MLG getting “global interest” the only interest they got global is korea and that’s it.
besides if MLG doesnt care its not like we do either there are many more tournaments out there that do it better.

Pretty hyped about that Persona fighter,AKSW make good ports of other series(I Love HNK and SBX), even if the end up broken later. I was really big into Persona 1 and 2, but never liked the overly anime influence in the newer games,so never tried them. anyway I’ll Holla!!!

Rock Em Sock Em it’s the acronym for basically what the tournament is called kinda like EZ = Elite Zone, GF = GameFrog. They are tournaments hosted in Charlotte at a type of conference room area in hotels by Tacktics. Shit is run very good too.

Not sure of how many of us play Arcana online. But I can add you next time I log on. I mostly just use PSN Chat or watch matches more than actually playing online though. My internet is no good. D:
