hmm…playin some 3SOE, everything feels fine until I start trying to do TTH with Urien. This is probably b/c I’m using a pad instead of a stick.

Are DLPs the ones that are kinda like CRT-ish looking big screens? The boxy ones? The only two I’ve ever played on felt pretty lagless vs. a Sony or Samsung flatscreen being laggy as shit. I thought it was a DLP anyway. Maybe it was just some off-brand model and not a big name or I’m thinking of a different acronym.

How do you unlock Bison in this game?
They were some of the first HDTVs that were still sort of like CRTs cause they were really huge. Even then it’s still a matter of what your buying. Some DLPs are in that “acceptable” range for game lag. I’ve played on my friends tv and 1 frame link is pretty much forget about it mode but 2-3 frame isn’t really a problem.

It’s all what you get used to, and normally on one frame link combos after awhile its just pure muscle memory, lag doesn’t matter, its normally weird tight juggle links or reacting to stuff that is more of a problem.

explain what every character needs to be considered “S-tier”? I agree with the learnin how to fight the bullshit rather than nerfing it as soon as possible, but on the other hand, what do you do to boost the rest of the cast?

Just read the full list of twin changes, dayuuuuumnnnnn!! But the rest of the cast did get a random list of buffs, Cody seems REALLY good now.
A few things on my mind. First of all, 3S>SF4. Known that one for a while though lol. Secondly, when it comes to lag on TVs it really doesn’t come into play until you switch TVs. If you play on the same TV all the time you’ll get used to the lag on whatever TV you’re playing on. The problem is when you play on a different TV, thats when you have to adjust all over again. And lastly, had a ton of fun hosting last nights session. Had a great time playing 3S and MvC3 all night long. Thanks for everyone that dropped by last night and looking foward to doing that again.
You can’t stay “S-Tier” if everyone is boosted to your level…
Also, buffing characters and giving them more viable tools can be a good thing. It allows people to be creative and incorporate their own play style. While on the other hand, if everything is nerfed, people have less options / less tools… That leads to overly-safe play, less individuality, and a boring game overall.
There’s definitely a way to give characters really good tools and tame it at the same time (because there’s already some games that do this very well).
