@Roski - How long are your tournies gonna be running? This just a summer thing or is it going beyond? The reason why I’m asking is because my gf is working some crazy hours during the week right now so it’d be impossible for me to make a side trip down there since I’m doing the full time dad thing. hm…i guess it was news to me that it wasn’t allowed. i thought all of the default control settings were allowed, so i thought those were allowed since those get mapped if you hit “default.”
Man, if hitboxes are not allowed I guess I need to suck it up and go back into practice mode again to learn how to do supers/ultras.
The 3P/3K ones were originally supposed to be banned at FR by Larry I thought. I think he changed his mind after some time though. The argument for that though is what Frission said, it was default.

This discussion is still going on? The point still stands that even if we do ban it we won’t be able to reasonably enforce. I agree that it should be patched out, but until then what is the point in talking about banning it when we know there isn’t a way to consistently detect it?
If someone comes up with a legit way to enforce a ban on it then we can start making some progress with this conversation.

Evo is allowing it. They’re saying it is an unenforceable ban, since old hitboxes, pads, and joysticks wired with block buttons can all do it. Shady K has a block button wired to his stick for MvC3 specifically.
