If anybody is carpooling to EZ next week I’d like to go as well. Now that there’s a date I can start practicing stuff for the next tournament. Gotta get out to whatever sessions that I can, so you can expect to see me Monday if its still a go.

Recent news impressions from me:

No Gambit UGH. Dammit. My second and third tier Marvel choices didn’t make it, either. I’m a 90s X-men cartoon fanboy though. Still, I’m really surprised there’s still no Spider-Man villains. And Cyclops/Psylocke missing still seems weird.
Strider. Looks like they decided to make the actual character better and downplay ouroboros. I think I’ve seen all of his old moves except the bomb drop and the ground teleport. I think I might try playing him as anchor and try to do orb X-Factor level 3 shenanigans. Hahaha @ arcade Strider costume.
Phoenix Wright. So…what the hell does he do? I mean…I can only picture a Doronjo-ish character. Even then, he’s never so much as thrown a punch in the games he’s been in.
Hey they put a Jon character in Soul Calibur.
New Darkstalkers will most likely use the same system as SFvT. Yeah…
Speaking of, SFvT has like every Final Fight character? I didn’t expect that. I certainly can’t see Rose being in the game, though. Can you picture her with any type of bounds/bounce moves/any kind of juggles? That would just be dumb. She’s one of the only SF characters I care about though lol.

I might be heading to gamefrog this Saturday. Just got to see if I have the funds for gas and all that.

Also, an update on the tournament, It’ll be on August, 27th, to avoid schedule conflicts with EZ.

So, I already have my team set for UMvC3. Amateratsu, Rocket Racoon, and Firebrand. CAN’T TOUCH THAT!!! Firebrand’s dive kick is soooo mean right now, it makes Wolverine look like a chump. And you know the assists are going to be mad crazy with this team.

So were strider’s assists ridiculous in MVC2? Full screen slash and instant dive kick assist is kinda crazy. That character is looking really solid.

Dormammu got anally raped… flame carpet knocks away full screen on hit and goes away if he is hit.

Not happy about Flame Carpet nerf, but on the bright side at least I might be the only one still using him.
Got kind of annoyed that he had seemed to be getting a lot more popular with scrubs and tournament players alike. Saw way too many Dorms at CEO for my liking.
