Yeah, I enjoyed that documentary. Its good to get a better view at how things work in the fighting game communities and sponsorships.

I figured that it was part of my initiation! All cool with me DeMo. lol!
oh snap!!! Stream monsta’s rejoice. Get yo fix at ReSe.
You can build a really great keep away team in this game, but you really have to be mindful of screen control and your assists. Ideally, you want to be able to control the ground horizontally, jump height horizontally, full screen super jump height (45 degree angle), and above your head (90 degree angle)
0 degree is easy, any projectile will do, Doom/IM is best.
jump height is tricky, because your point character needs a jumping projectile. Magneto, Deadpool, Arthur, Ryu, Morrigan, Storm can all do this.
Super Jump 45 degree angle is tricky. Only assists that get there to my knowledge is Shuma, Phoenix Trap, and Deadpool’s Happy Trigger. Dormammu can control that space with pillars on point.
Directly above you is even harder. Only Shuma gets to 90 degrees. Jam Session and Purification are ok, but are both a little forward of your character. Haggar actually works here because if they’re coming on your head, he’ll cover both sides of you. and he’s a GTFO me character. He’ll also save your ass against teleporters.
There you have it. MVP keepaway all stars? Doom/Dorm/Haggar and lesser extent Storm, Shuma, Deadpool.
Being a dick is no longer restricted to just targetting new players. Don’t you read the threads, Demo? You can be a dick to anyone these days. Don’t allow the shackles of old policy to keep you down.
oh yeah i forgot to mention
BI-WEEKLY TUESDAY TEKKEN IS TONIGHT
there will also be a focus on MK/Arcana. I will also likely have King of Chinatown with me (I will pass the idea by Guerilla S. who is hosting). Start time is usually around 7pm. We play for awhile then go to eat (Chili’s seems to be the spot), then we come back and play more. Hit me up via pm or on my phone via text for details.
Awsome effort in getting all of these dates set in stone so early. I’ll be making plans to attend the Oct. 8 tournament, and I’ll try to get a carpool going from the RDU area to come along with me.
Oh, as far as king of Chinatown? Justin’s first out of state tourney win was at Gametime. I can’t remember whether it was his first tourney win overall, I’ll have to ask him. I ran that tournament, and had to start him in loser’s because him and arturo were so late. He absolutely demolished everyone.
Justin was always going to be huge. I don’t even think it was triforce who got him to all of those majors in his first year, but someone would have bought his ticket.
Triforce getting any credit for Justin’s success is almost as big of a joke as Triforce is.
Thanks for the support guys. Any and all support and help is welcome. I look forward to catching up to you guys then and hey if you can’t make them all you will hopefully get to see your peeps on a stream if I get it up and running (bandwidth pending).
Doom isn’t that good at keep away as far as killing someone with it IMO. The only characters I see turning ranged stuff into damage consistently are like Dorm, Storm, Deadpool, Taskmaster and Arthur. I really feel like Dorm is the best at zoning… he can control any spot on the screen at any given time and he has insurance if he guesses wrong on his attacks via flame carpet. It really feels like he can take zoning and turn it into something scary. If you get hit by Doom’s zoning… whatever, it’s like 5-10%, keep pushing to get in and he’s gone. With Dorm, if he gets a hit even with something that’s not a big deal like a dark hole or finger shot, you just lost that character potentially. Storm can do it too but her ranged attacks aren’t really very impressive IMO.
Taskmaster probably is the next up on doing it the best, and him and dorm could work great together I think, if you wanted to do a dedicated zoning team. Dorm Task Dante is probably what I would go with… Jam session is like a shoe in for zoning teams… so much screen control.
Magneto… he can be annoying at range but outside of select matchups, I don’t see him winning with just that.
I’ll make sure to be there on August 27th with my equipment ready to broadcast
Doom is more about his assists than his actual on point ability in a zoning team. Especially with dorm. Plasma Beam + Flame Carpet+ pillars… oh my.
Storm is more about floating w/ assists , being annoying, and then using meter for her hail or (better yet) a instant HAIL Team Super to kill assists. Jumping lightning spheres and typhoons are actually pretty good against a lot of the cast. Her mobility is key.
Magneto’s mobility is also really key in that he can dash around, disruptor, and shockwave if he gets threatened.
My incredibly annoying Team of choice is Storm (typhoon), Morrigan (meter), Dorm (purification).
PS4 preview?

Also, David posting about MY mario golf skill is a FREAKING JOKE.
Farewell DP if you’re still leaving today, have fun in VA and thanks for all the stuff you did in the past few weeks.
