Just let me know the next time your going to be at EZ, i’ll bring it and my Ps3 unless you rather pictures. I bought a pdp mk stick from a guy here on SRK for a pretty good price. So once it comes in the mail ima swap out the buttons with my stick and use the pdp one, its got all happ buttons with cherry switches and the IL happ stick. Not sure what ima do with the one I built, I built it to match the pdp stick so it opens up and you can store some games and stuff in there…it just doesn’t look as sexy as the pdp one. I’ll probably take the tekken stick to gamestop after the pcb get here, if it isn’t really that good its not point of me throwing it back on ebay.
I know this might be a newbie question…but does 3S stand for third strike?
Yeah 3S is Street Fighter 3 Third Strike. I might buy that stick off you, just to have an extra one, plus I collect FG stuffs.lol We will be at EZ this coming Friday. Also tryin to get cats to come over my place for practic this thursday. MK is normally not played much on friday’s, so you might have to bring a copy of the game. Hope to see you there.
King of Chinatown was good. I would have liked to see more behind that 1 year jump to “just leaves arcadia” that had no lead up or explanation, but the rest was interesting. It just felt like the most important part of the movie was skipped. I also don’t know who’s picture they were trying to paint, but with these things, you never know the full story. I just agree that Justin should have the freedom of choice and I think he made the right decision to move on regardless.
Good games and all that though, was a fun gathering.
Yeah i’ll come through Friday, I wont be able to stay all morning though. I go to Charlotte from Wednesday to Friday (internship then class) so by the time I get back Friday night ima be pretty out of it. Some energy drinks will keep me going for a little bit but ima probably be out some where around 4-5am. Also for previous stated reasons I wouldn’t be able to make anything on Thursdays till my internship is up. Hopefully that’ll be some where around 6 weeks from now. As far as buying the stick thats cool but it wont come with my swana buttons though…just the originals. I plan on making a new stick later down the road so when I have company over they always have the choice of pad or stick.

Normally talent reps / managers take 5%-15% (15% is HIGH) but you had Justin funding the entire empire. Justin got a sponsor for 20K? It goes to triforce to pay bills and divide it up among the empire. Justin got a sponsor that provided him with a bunch of equipment? It gets sold for 15K and divided among the empire.
And when I say ‘divided among the empire’ I really mean goes to paying the back taxes on triforces ‘business’. Plain and simple triforce has a terrible business model in EMP. Granted triforce put in work to get Justin opportunities and shine but for that work he should get his 5% cut, NOT complete control over 100% of the funds.
In a whole year he got Justin 2 sponsors/endorsement deals - that is weak. The movie was really good, wish it was longer / showed more footage of some things and not seeing any meaningful parts of the matches was annoying (They could have at least shown the last 15 seconds of them) but overall I liked it a lot.
I’m surprised Justin didn’t get tired of Triforce taking his funds once he had a name for himself, but it’s no doubt that triforce DID help Justin put his name on the map and get him out there. Would Justin be the person he is today without Empire? That’s the question the movie posed for me.
Lol…they ain’t ready? I’M not ready for it saturday. I definitely like the zoning aspect but that’s about all I can really effectively do at the moment. I’ll be in the lab. I will learn how to do that glitch consistently one day! Did I gain some legitimacy?

I think that team might have some trouble vs people that have good ranged attacks. Magneto spamming disruptor with Doom behind him is just asking to get supered IMO. I’d use disruptor to cover the missiles then rush in once the missiles are coming down… don’t think mag can win with just zoning because even if he successfully keeps them out for 60 seconds, one hit and he’s dead.
I was just glad that Triforce wasn’t embarrassed enough to not to the follow-up one year later, when he’s working whatever job he’s working.
I do agree that Justin made the right move by heading out to Cali and leaving EMP, but in the movie he mentioned that he didn’t think he’d have to work for 5-6 years…but he’s working now, right?
EVO should be interesting, what does everyone think his chances are of winning any or all of MK/MVC/AE?
Hello everyone. I have the dates set in stone for the rest of the year for ReSe in Charlotte, NC. Hopefully this will allow some of you players that don’t come out to make arrangements way in advance. Here is the info for the next one in August on the 27th. It’s quite late in the month but that’s all I could get cause they are super booked. The rest of them will be in the middle of the month as posted below.
