No I didnt comment on the whole “going to Charlotte” thing because everything that was going to be said, was pretty much said. I “liked” the posts that were either funny or they stated something that I felt. Lets go down the line shall we?

Now back to what you said about me being one of the reasons this started and about the agreement made. How am I a reason this started? Also about the agreement, you plain as day said you saw what was said on facebook, so why bring it up. I was up early Sunday morning with EVERY intention of going, but there was a miscommunication between myself and the guys that were going to ride with me. And I wasnt driving that by myself. We hashed it out, its all cool. No harm, no foul. Do you want an apology? If so I am VERY apologetic and im sorry. Ive already made plans to try and make the next, but if its on the same day as EZ or another out of state tournament with higher profile competition, then im also sorry because I wont be at that one either.
Speaking of “higher profile competition” and since this is obviously gonna be an issue until a grown ass man says it straight, lets do some geography. We had two tournaments this past weekend. Elite Zone in Fayetteville and ReSe in Charlotte. One of these had players from other states show up, the other didnt. Specifically im gonna point out Team FR from ATL. If im correct ATL is MUCH CLOSER to Charlotte than to Fayetteville. Like those same 3 hours closer. So why did they show up to the one further away? That wouldnt happen to have anything to do with advertising would it? When the word came from ShinBlanka about Team FR showing up to a tournament in NC, I jumped ALL over it on facebook and otherwise. I posted it here, I posted it in other state threads on OTHER sites, I busted my ASS to guarantee the level of competition to justify people driving 3+hours to stand in a strip mall and be hot, sweaty, and smelling other peoples assholes. I even put out a bounty to our in state players (in Tekken) that if they could take out ANY of the ATL guys and win the tournament I would lay $100 of my own money in their hands. And even in the tournament I made sure Redd’s matches were run quick, I made sure he didnt have a long wait, if he needed a pad, a sync cable, or anything I was there. I asked about housing if needed for them. Im not on staff at EZ or have anything to do with the organizing but you know those kinds of things get people to come to your tournament. Now when you put out THAT kind of effort…THEN you can feel free to question me. Until then, not being a dick…but drop the issue please. And not to bring it up, but lets be real. Do you not think the situation that occured this past weekend had ANY bearing on other’s choice to attend a Charlotte tournament? Especially when the LEADER of Charlotte has that level of breakdown? You think ATL couldnt have just stopped by on their way back? For all intents and purposes, it was FREE MONEY. You guys might want to take off those rose colored glasses and start seeing things for what they are.
I like you guys. Youre cool people. But you are pushing the matter just a tad too far. If youre gonna go in, BE ALL IN, you cant half-ass on passion.

Just to be clear, I won’t be driving to Raleigh unless I’m riding with someone in Raleigh, seeing as how it’s not on the way to Richmond at all. If anyone wants to ride with me, then they’re more than welcome to crash at my place the night before (whilst presumably playing a shitload of games). This is open to the FVille people as well. Let me know if there’s interest.
Again, not intending to start an argument, just wanting a simple answer, and knowing your style of responding to my messages, I figured it would be a “Braveheart” Speech. As I said, also, we’re currently working on the advertisement and scheduling of events, so that’s being taken care of. Demo, you’re a cool guy, but you don’t always have to be an ass to everyone who asks for your reasons, nor do you have to explain yourself to prove to others that you’re better than them. So what if you did a whole lot of stuff to get FR to the venue. Of course it made other NC players happy to see them, but it proved a vital point. That NC as a whole needs to step up their level, especially since everyone got 3/0d by the crew, if I’m not mistaken. If we do “attract” them back to the venue again, we have to show that we’re progressing, not flat lining. Ace has always showed up to our tournaments, not because of “free money”, but the fact that he always had to work for it. That’s what I would like to hear from other states. That we’re making them work to get that money, not because it’s free.
I’m willing to bet Ace shows up to your tournaments because it’s the closest venue to him.

Not everyone got 3/0 by them, maybe you did. in fact Ando lost 2-3 both times he fought redd if i’m not mistaken. I will agree that we need to level up though. If everyone would stop bitching about the drive there would be any “flatlining”. If the tournament is not local but, you want to get better, go. Don’t bitch about how no one comes to your area. How many tourneys are in the raleigh/ cary area a month? not many but everyone that ants to progress does what is need.
I understand your trying to promote your venue, but constantly asking the same shit after it has been sorted gets old FAST. Just start promoting it more and if people come, they come. How long have you been promoting this place. if it’s months than maybe it’ll get better, if it’s years, then maybe the approach should have been changed a long time ago.

WOW, did you REALLY just say that? having them at the venue upped the ante. it also establishes a hopefully good relationship between OUR community and out of state competition. speaking soley on Tekken, i got ATL Redd this time. what if next time he decides to bring Batman or Killa 6 or Pokchop. what if the word gets out and it grows from there, and ATL brings in TN, then look we got Jio and lil Majin and Trungy. so on and so forth. and they bring OTHER players that play other games. i hyped team FR coming to the other states that were coming too. think about what you just said, it was pretty ridiculous and contradictory to what we ALL sat and discussed after Lucky’s. My end goal here is to reestablish NC as a hub of the south for players to come and play. I want to bring back the NC Iron Skill tournament. I understand this was before your time, so you wouldnt know what im working towards. but lets just say, making a statement like you did towards me…isnt conducive to your cause of strengthening community.

Everyone didnt get 3-0’d by the crew. did you not see Ando fight Redd? It went 3-2. Redd also showed up for MK where he didnt just cakewalk through the brackets then either. So yeah, he earned his money. I wasnt around to see what games the other Team FR guys played, but hopefully this past weekend will convince them to come back.

Why you gotta bring Ace into this? Ace is the coolest of cool people. Hes humble. But hes damn good at what he does. Im also willing to bet he shows up at Charlotte because its geographically close to him. It also served his purpose of getting that XS sponsorship, which is simply GOOD BUSINESS for him. Now before you try to flip it on me and say im calling Ace self-serving, im simply stating FACTS.

I only mentioned Ace for the quote, nothing else. I’m done with the topic of promoting. I look forward to the Charlotte vs RDU match. And I do apologize for calling you an ass bluntly, I should have proofread that comment because it was meant to say you can sound like one sometimes with the comments.
