Is Sony Quietly Removing a PS3 Feature?

When I read the article this morning, it semi pissed me off but this is kotaku we’re talking about :-/ If this ends up being true, that would really suck because using the hdcp bybass is a pain on PS3 only works on certain games for recording.

On the PS3, all of it’s content is HDCP encrypted which mean you can’t record/stream any content via HDMI. However, if you record using component cables, you can bypass that with no problem. It looks like Sony would try making an effort to prevent people from recording their content in the future.

Xbox 360, on the other hand, you can record whatever you want without worrying about HDCP

yeah bro, I’ve been playing it for two days and im already beating I’d say 80% of the people I’ve been playing against onlne regardless of record. I’m a sub zero main. I can do several different 30% combos in combat now. Ice clones too good. I second jonny cage for the more annoying zoning characters. I’d say i have a knack for it. I have picked up tekken and soon SSF4:AE as well. Next time I go to a tournament I’m not waiting all day for marvel to start because I will be participating in all events.

Really? All I see is kung lao and reptiles… I’ll admit though I’ve fought afew subs. They were all terrible though. All they do is try to Ice slide. Pocket subs always suck.
