I’m not saying it’s busted. It was more among the lines of seeing the potential in something like that. Having something like that makes people hesitate when you’re up close after a knockdown. You’ll see people whiffing throws on wake-up.
I’m just theory fighting right now with my imagination, as I don’t have a copy of the game myself and I’ve played it maybe 3-4 times. But according to Chapter 13 Verse 9 of the gospel of Sir Frankus Matthew states Seth is not broken or ban worthy. By careful deduction, I’ve deduced that Gouken is not broken either.
Jibbo: Update. DeMo!!! is playing Cammy and definitely Abel with a dash of Rose.
Shiki: No offense taken. Its just that I knew that playing this game on pad was gonna be hard because I had been playing it a couple days before everyone else, but you had to feel it for yourself to form your own opinion. Its no issue whatsoever.
IceNinja: I dont know if anyone answered you or not but I have a convertor that I got from a user on TZ named Laugh from a Korean company called InPin. It only cost me $25 and it works PERFECTLY.
Definite GGs to Matt. I appreciate the beatings lol.
360 Players: Namely Priest. I dont want you to think I was ignoring your play requests. Im trying to show my gf how to play a little so she is normally on the 360 while im on the PS3.
Gotcha… it is an easy set up for a STRONG ultra for sure. I hope he’s not banned, I like playing with him… plays alot different than the other shotos and that’s a good thing to me (not that I dislike the shotos).
I was playing a lot of ranked matches but in non-ranked I’ve noticed you get matched up with something other than ryu and ken over and over.
second… i too dont think seth is ban worthy…he’s been nerfed bad… the only reason i think he wouldnt be allowed, is people dont care enought to unlock him
Yeah I agree with that- which is pretty much my point. He won’t be on all the consoles, why force people to waste 2-3 hours on getting a guy that isn’t fun or tourney viable.
I agree. However, neither of these things describe Seth; he’s very fun, and he’s tourney worthy as well. You can’t ban someone because people are lazy. You don’t have to unlock him, but don’t be mad if you have to fight him.
don’t speak so soon, you’re talkin about my 2ndary there sir. Team Rihanna (Rose) / Chris Brown (Dictator)!!! Beating scrubs like Ike did Tina Turner!!
Then again nothings quite in stone yet, too early to tell. This bitch from Delta Red has had my interest for a while just haven’t had time to mess with her, so does this dude that looks like he has a lil’ red sham-wow on his head and throws big-ass fireballs.
-Q
Ultimately it’s whether the tourney community agrees- not either of us.
As for tourney worthiness- I’m convinced he’s either going to be garbage or broke. Chars with tiny damage and defense tend to be that way.
Just had a good Honda vs a skilled Fei Long session. Let’s just say it isn’t a free win for Honda at all now. I had to be very on point to get anything going, especially if I fell behind.
I’m having a lot of fun with it. Gouken has a bit of a learning curve, but it’s because I keep wanting to dragon punch jump-ins and end up sliding under them instead. I’ve finally got a rudimentary understanding of Bison (Dictator) but still learning. Zangief is supposed to be awesome in this game, but he feels different. I liked the ST, HDR Gief, but I can’t quite figure out this new one. Some sort of mental block? Or does he play a lot different?
Demo, what kind of converter did you get? I’m still looking for a 360->PS3 one, and I’ve been looking at the XCM Cross Battle Adapter but no word on it yet. Waiting for MarkMan’s review, and if it’s bad I may just have to get a PS3 TE stick instead.
And Q and Frank, good stuff the other night. I took some of what I was told to heart, and last night played with some of my friends and didn’t get off of controller 1. So I’m stuck in this casual/competitive limbo. You guys stomped a mudhole, but then I stomped on a mudhole on the others. Not much of a gradient there, pretty black and white. Any suggestions? Or just keep coming and getting my butt whooped until I learn what to do and what not to do? I just hate asking for tips, cause I’m in a lower league when it comes to the tournament level play… and teaching me the “basics” of it would be quite time consuming.
Well, if nothing else, maybe I’ll learn some new stuff at Lucky’s next saturday.
