how come this kid dont have a record deal yet:looney: lol
AMEN game hasnt even been out a week, just chill everyones. We could all be crackheads on the street with no sf4
yoga ball dammit!!
You’re right. No offense taken.
Also, I see the point DeMo made about the controls and using pad. Using/comboing Ultras is a hell of a lot more vital than using Meteors in SFEX3 and so I can see why pads are a problem.
Nothing I can’t get used to, but I apologize DeMo if you were offended.
Also to Jeff, for friendly discussion because I’m going to be learning KOF98UM: I didn’t mean to imply Shermie’s normals were TERRIBLE, so not as good as the other grapplers. They buffed a lot of her important normals in 98UM I’ve read, so I can’t really speak about it there.
But original 98, I really don’t know how she’s supposed to break through a solid Daimon’s defense, or keep out Iori or O. Yashiro, or stop Chris from spamming air CD all day.
I really think Clark’s normals are marginally better, making him overall a better version of Shermie. Clark’s far HK was one of the minority of normals that actually got nerfed in 98UM.
WO WO WO SIR… did you just put 3rd strike in the category of crap???
:nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:
So…Fei Long has an infinite on tall characters. Shit’s hard but…DIE ABEL AND SETH!
Fixed.:looney: Fei is really good, despite his ultra being shit. He doesn’t seem to need it tho.
Shiki: If you want to ask questions, then ask them; when you asked about Robo I had no problem providing you with info. The problem was, you didn’t ask anything about Abel, you just declared he was garbage and listed situational problems he might have. Then, when I tried to provide answers or possible uses of said moves, you made a long, sarcastic post declaring everything I said was wrong. Imagine someone did that to you; you try to provide some assistance, and get that sort of reaction thrown back at you. I guarantee your reaction would have been, at the very least, on par with mine.
Oh, and oddly enough, Abel is actually really good at building meter lol. Whiff DP grab from full screen over and over will build meter very quickly, and his basic movement builds a lot of bar from rolling around like a crackfiend. Also, his far standing forward is excellent AA, and anything it doesn’t hit will lose to the DP grab. Meter as a whole tends to build pretty fast in this game, making things like FADC and EX attacks really fucking useful.
they call me KING for a reason !
I haven’t fully decided who I want to use yet but me and Viper aren’t getting along too well. Overall, she just feels like she’s in the wrong engine to me. Just about everyone else I’m interested in feels nice so I’ll have to get in some matches to get a better idea.
Also, whoever approved the English language voice actress for Chun-Li should be promptly fired.
Moan
Shiki, Dictator’s ultra isn’t the crazy shit you made it out to be, as I was command thrown out of it after the first scissor and then either hit or thrown (don’t remember) out of the second.
I have played for alil bit online this morning and beat an elite tagged player using ken. my font is too small so i can’t read the freakin names. Good times. Wireless connection is good for me right now. I just need a stick.
yeah…got the game, first thing I did on the game was play Matt since he sent me an invite, no training or anything lol. I like it. Still dunno about characters. I don’t like saying who I’m going to play in a game until I have enough time to really sit down and see what’s what.
Are you on 360 or PS3?
Is it a bad sign that I’m feeling my SNK experience is more useful then my ST experience in this game?
BTW don’t sleep on Gen in this game, his combo damage and crossup ability is ridiculous. That may be all he has, but it’s dangerous.
Am I the only person playin Gouken in N.C.? I can see why though, he’s decent but Ive found that he doesn’t match up well with over half the cast. Not giving up on him, though. Gouken FTW! :wgrin:
agreed… my earlier comment on buying both systems wasn’t a literal suggestion as much as being a smart ass about hearing folks spending more time saying what console sucks then playing theirs.
and I had my fill of circular arguments answering phone calls for an airline… like a dog chasing it’s tail.
I’m not a big poster hear but I’m kinda amazed at the consistency of behavior from these rants on games.
Then again it’s the internet… flames are expected and sometimes kinda fun to read.
PS3 vs 360
Interesting comparison info between the 360 and PS3 ports of SF4. Nothing game breaking or anything but still interesting to note.
PS3 has sub HD resolution at parts. The PS3 version drops the resolution down to 630p on close ups/supers and no AA. The AA is a given since it’s PS3 and for some reason sony refuses to give AA via hardware since the beginning. But the drop in up close resolution was interesting and something I didn’t know.
Still I have the PS3 version and it’s something you would have to look for and have a HD TV that’s pretty decent for it to be noticed and even then… not a big deal.
I do wish that sony would get their asses in gear and get some development tools that crack that claimed massive power. If developers are still having to take small short cuts just to match performance of the 360 2 years after it’s launch I really doubt we are gonna see visuals that really makes one system destroyed by the other at this point.
Back throw into ultra??? :sad::wasted:
Yes, that is fairly dirty! I didnt say he was trash. To me it just seems like he has to jump in too much. Or is that just in my nature to want to rush-down? Dont know?
Yet, am I the only person playing Bison (Dictator)?
this is true but it’s not like we don’t have grab ultras in the game to start with and at least this has a chance to be avoided by throwing back. I’ve been playing with him and am no expert but is he really that awful? high tier is one thing but is he so much better as to be banned?
