What the hell are we doing? Porter is saying Greensboro is the 21st now because Xrii said it’s the only day when Faye was already planned for that day even though we said it was May 7th originally for Luckys supposedly.
We have no tournament threads either it looks like or at least none that I see.

You missed Tekken at state on saturday, I brought my copy and it was me, longshot and seventh.

I know there’s more than just high low throw but having those options helps a lot. Timing and what not is big in mixups too but just running that can be pretty lame. But as far as us not having played MK before, this one seems close enough to our realm of understanding that I think it’s easy enough to discuss. I think we’ve been playing long enough to have a good grasp of what you’re supposed to do given the mechanics.
IMO this feels like a hybrid of SF and Tekken… if that makes any sense. Slower moves, whiff punishing, lotta patience and forced safe play due to moves being punishable, but then some space control and zoning mixed in there from SF. You might like it actually, I’d say atleast give it a shot at the next gathering.
3SO looks gorgeous from ono’s half-ass shot so far even being so close to the monitor, can’t wait to see it in action. Love the art/animation of this game but hated it due to it’s mechanics, but I’d LOVE to get my ass kick online over and over if they do the graphics right with this heavily animated art house fighter. Hopefully they’ll do the same (but I doubt it) for CvS2, then I’d skeet uncontrollably.

What the fuck, so apparently MK can be patched from a server, the game pulls the values for moves from that server and they use this to stealth nerf / buff things. Problem is, this only works if you are online for xbox. If the Xbox isn’t connected to the internet, you revert right back to the previous version of the game. This saves them money on patches I guess but it definitely has some big drawbacks. Also, no patchnotes.
What does this mean?
Well, right now, it looks like PS3 is gonna be the tournament standard. I just had to buy the damn game for 360. =(
Pretty sure the dates were posted. I barely log in, post or read anymore and even I knew them. I just never logged in to update the first post.
Edit: Yeah its on page 36-38 somewhere. Porter posted it as well as someone else, and it was maybe brought up before that.

Yeah There is no way luckies is the 7th thats the pre-release for the new magic set coming out. Luckies is a card store after all and release/pre-release are their biggest revenue weekends.
