The easiest BnB on a ground hit is the one I posted before in the Dante threads, it doesn’t break 800k but with a DHC you should be able to do enough to KO most <1 million health characters. Dante can also DHC trick for increased damage, and in fact there was another way found for him to do it at the end of his combos, which not only makes it easier to land (less position-specific), but does more damage, although it’s a little harder because you have to be able to execute Crazy Dance consistently.

I was messing with mid-air hits and I found that you can basically do the same/similar combo that you do off of Hammer, for pretty much the same damage. So say you hit s.M-s.H on a midair opponent, cancel to Volcano and continue as normal, you can’t do Prop Shredder stuff but you get enough damage.

Acid Rain is character specific enough that I don’t recommend doing it outside of the corner. Save Acid Rain loops for the corner, you should be able to break 800k every time that way.

Oh yeah that was the other thing I was going to ask about. What are you comboing the grappling hook off of for the DHC trick? I tried mid screen off of stinger corner bounce but that seemed really inconsistent.

And not to keep beating a dead horse but didn’t you say on the Dante forums that good rush down characters give Dante trouble? Isn’t Zero like… one of THE best rush down characters? >_<

I guess time will tell. Dante seems a lot less confusing than Zero to me when it comes to blocking him, I guess dante is a lot less visually confusing.

Btw question, what’s a solid BNB you’re using with dante on ground hit? Also if you anti air someone, what are you doing? I kinda want to improve the one I’m doing now, preferably to push it above 800k. (still working on acid rain loops but is there anything else that gets it that high?)

Every time I sit down to improve my Dante / Ammy, I end up just working on Zero shit lol.

Chun vs Yun is 5/5 and has been for about 6 or 7 years. A long ass time ago people thought it was 7/3 Yun but that was because they couldn’t block Genei Jin and didn’t maximize damage when they hit Yun.

Midscreen you have to delay Grapple off of Stinger bounce. Corner it kind of sucks because you have to cut your combo really short, the only way I’ve found to combo Grapple in the corner is off of Revolver, which has to be done early in the combo. This is all somewhat irrelevant because you can DHC trick off of Crazy Dance.

I said that he can get rushed down because at point blank he has nothing fast to challenge other rush characters, but this doesn’t mean he loses to rush in general. It’s an exploitable weakness which I think most people aren’t looking at. Most of the players who say he’s overrated cite supposed weaknesses that aren’t really weaknesses or are just flat out wrong, which is part of why I brought that up. But in reality, while he doesn’t fare well at point blank, you have to actually get there first, and given how strong his mid range presence is, that’s easier said than done. This is why I think he goes even with Ammy, cuz while he’s in deep trouble if she gets in on him, her offensive approach is not well suited to deal with his stupid normals. With Zero, it’s not quite that simple, because all the Dante player really has to do is be patient, block the mixups, and pushblock Zero out. Zero is not good at maintaining his offensive momentum when he gets blocked, which is another point of contention you could bring up between the two characters, since Dante tends to hold on to his offensive momentum once he gets it.

I live/work in Wilmington but I?m from Fayetteville, and I went to school in Chapel Hill so I spend a great deal of time these places as well. I?ve been playing a lot of BB:CS and MvC3 lately but I?m really, really doodoo at both (at all fighting games really, but I still have fun with it). I?m up for playing anything though!

^That’s just the nature of competitive fighting games. Sometimes the characters you like turn out to be more work than it’s worth and/or they don’t suit your playstyle that well (or there’s another character in the game who suits your playstyle even better and you grow to like that character more).

Also, is anyone savvy on how to purchase a capture device? Or rather, whats a good one to look into? I really would like to start making combo vids or strategy vids for certain games. Ive got all this WWE All-Stars stuff ive worked up and a slew of MK combos that I havent seen noted ANYWHERE that I would like to put out there.

from what i read, it sounds like one of the better and cheaper HD capture devices, it’s through component cables though. you can pick up a cheap pair of component cables for xbox through monoprice:
