maybe sfxt wasnt meant to be competetive. thats why ono continues to support and update sf4
Yeah. Or at least I don’t think I will be playing it competitively. Ever since the first Ryu/Kazuya vid I’ve been interested in it, but not hype. Especially now since there are so many other fighting games coming out that I know I will be playing competitive in. The tag system looks like a bad copy and pandora seems stupid to me. To be honest the only thing that has actually made me excited about the game are the gems. Just waiting to find out more about pandora, but more so about the gems.
Preorder where? I’m hype about KOF13 and if there’s more goodies to be gotten out of it then I want in.
Capcom is a gaming company, not a competitive gaming company. They are interested in what will bring money into the company. If they can make easy lame games that many will buy to feel like they’re “pro” and have actual pros play and promote the game because, well its Capcom, then yeah.
The main problem is that there are more non competitive players than competitive, which means you can make more money aiming towards the non competitive audience than the competitive. For the most part it looks as if Capcom is trying to make some of their fighting games easy to learn, hard to master. Not perfect, but I believe that is what they are aiming towards. Even if you’re just a beginner you can feel some type of accomplishment instead of constantly seeing the “You Lose” words pop up every time. This also means that a lot of people miss out on the feeling of rising to the occasion and conquering whatever it may have been like in the earlier days of fighting games.
Regardless of whatever Capcom decides if they put out a game I like, I’ll get it if I can. If I don’t like it then I’ll just play something else I do. SNK, Sega, and Namco will be receiving some money from me in the near future I know.
What netcode on 360 isn’t? 360 has pretty good netcode for there games from what I understand.

Pretty nice bonus, sure you can just DL all these songs but it feels good to actually on them on a collection like that.
I was about to say that Amazon had the same offer but it seems they are out, I preorded when they were still talking about it so hopefully I get it
BOUGHT!!!
EDIT: where does it say its hitting this week? everywhere I check only says nov 2011.
@Alice Chan, please bring DAT DREAM CAST!!! Best ever!!!
On the subject of the accursed Gems,I’ll say this. Yall saw this coming, its a natural progression.Capcom/Ono took soo much BS from gamers blowing up his Twitter page and over at CU over Yun/Phoenix and whoever else, that they said fuck it! Now they can prove that they don’t need us,just like they did the MML3 crowd. They are dirty. But hey its a business. More Casuals=more money. They even stated that they wanna make 2 separate street fighters 1 hardcore and one casual. What they wanna do is bring back that fresh arcade FUN feeling people used to get when they played fighting games. The problem is folks like us aren’t gonna let casuals have too much fun for too long cz we have FUNDAMENTALS. So what do they do?..throw a screw ball at us. This way there’s NO WAY we can “ruin” the experience of causal gamers by bodying them constantly, why,…why… Because GEMS BITCHES!!!
and 6 months down the line WOW look DLC to remove the Gems, cool!!! and double their money again!! just like they did with UMVC3!!!
There are much better games coming out soon, make a wise choice,or fall victim again.:lame:
Where’s all the info on tekken x street fighter? Almost too many fg’s coming out to keep up with.
all new fighting games are garbage until proven innocent.
Capcom’s in the business of making money, I’m fine with that. They just don’t want my money, at least judging by their actions.
I’m ok with SFvsTK being a casual-fest, I just don’t wanna play a game like that. Seriously, as long as there’s SOMETHING I want to play, which hasn’t been the case at all this year except for Arcana/BB for brief period, I’m happy. 2012 is looking real promising- as the game series I enjoy are putting out new stuff that looks promising.
Also, I have real problems with the way Capcom is doing easy to learn hard to master, and I think it’s closer to hard to learn, easy to master with what Capcom is emphasizing. As for the the whole rising to the occasion, that’s a side effect of having so many choices these days- you can choose something you can win at, unlike the arcade days. Kinda like how folks can choose the news they want to believe in, which is a big reason why this country’s in a damn mess.
As for bad 360 netcode- SC4, Battle Fantasia, Tekken (supposedly it’s worse then PS3) , KOF98UM. 360 may help in some ways, but bad netcode is bad netcode and good netcode is good on PS3 also (except HDR, cause Sirlin didn’t give a crap about the PS3 version)
it’s time for us to be the Honey Badger. Lets just don’t care what Capcom does. As long as we support good fighters, good fighters will be made. Capcom can do its own thing. That said, if Capcom really didn’t care, they wouldn’t be making an Apology Edition (though it will still be SF4, which will be fundamentally flawed as long as it has its rotten control scheme)
Also, gems won’t help a bad player beat a good one, it may even make it worse.
Care to elaborate ?
Apparently Ougon Musou Kyoku X has been out for a while, did anyone pick it up and find out if it is still terrible, also if Luci still has her infinite in the corner 2A,5A,8j.C(1 frame timing, needs to be right height too)?
Apperently Ougon Musou Kyoku 2 is confirmed as well with the whole cast actually in the game, hopefully along with a rework of the entire game engine (lol no).
I could have sworn NCSX had it listed for October 27th release.
Yeah, what happened to Tekken x Street Fighter? There’s only been one video released as far as I know, and like, no info.
The option selects come from how the game processes input. Also, those arbitrary rules on links/chains are an issue also. Get rid of those two things and SF4 is a better game.
There are option selects in EVERY fighting game, they have just become a lot more apparent recently thanks to how easy it is to share information. T.Hawk’s OS in ST is much more scary than any OS I can think of in SF4.
Also, I wouldn’t call link and chain rules arbitrary. If you mash the button you don’t get the reward to cancel a normal into a special. If you use precision you can extend your combo.
Well NCSX says their pre-orders have been delayed until “TBA”. Plus to buy it there its over $100. Im putting my order in at playasia. They have never done me wrong. But I do have ONE issue, how will I get the Iori DLC?
AKSW/French Bread/SNKP/EXAMU/ Hell even NetherRealm is puttin more love and CONTENT into their games than crapcom. They don’t have a true monoppoly on the genre. A lot of people want to try other games but are actually afraid of loosing, getting good at anything worth while takes time. But some catz would rather stick to strictly half assed revisions of games they used to love, almost purely off of nostalgia alone.None of this is coincidence, that’s why they made STF4,cz they new when you saw Ryu and his head band, or Chun-Li’s legs, or Blanka’s Ball, you would want to play/Buy. EVEN Daigo could not resist vanilla when it came out and he said that he would not play it cz it was boring and not worth his Ryu. But with time seeing other people play and have fun with the game, we get sucked in just like he did. Don’t get me wrong some folks just love the 4 series to death, but most are under a certain age.:smokin:And that’s just what they wanted, 2 markets, and they got it. But which do you think they are willing to let go first??? GEMS BITCHES!!!
They don’t have to let go of either one. That said, the casual market is easier to work with, but the hardcore market stays with you during the lean times.
I agree with you,but not sure if they see it that way. With all the cash they pull in from Monster Hunter/RE/Dead Rising/and who knows what else, I wonder how much they care.CZ they can always make another game tailored just for hardcore gamers later down the line, and yes they are gonna buy it. We know SXT is a party game its just for fun its not cannon or anything, just silly fun.And that’s actually ok and healthy to some degree.Just people get mad that its not the hard core tournament fighter that they dreamed it would be,but that was never the intent of the title to begin with. Nowa days everybody ids cuttin corners and lookin for that quick buck,Capcom is no different. If this game doesn’t suit you…don’t buy it. That’s what I say. There are plenty of good hard core games comin real soon. I’m more hyped for KOF13 than anything Capcom has made in the last 10 years.lol
Set up a new user and Japanese account (tutorials on youtube). You’ll have to import a Japanese PSN card as well since I don’t think they take the US credit cards.
