Hellooooooo NC!
Shoutouts to undiscovered talent in NC. There was a Ryu kid from Chapel Hill who outfootsied me, John, Xaiah, and Brent.
>.<
What’s up man. Welcome to the forums!
The first MINDGAMES training session was a success. For just starting, 15 total attendees was good to see. We appreciate the support given to our attempt to start a Fight Club in this area. We aiming to host something every 2-3 weeks or so so people can meet each other and get acquainted around here. We most likely will keep with Fridays so that we can, for now, be a spot where people can training for Saturday tournaments (also avoid most scheduling conflicts). We had a variety of games played (AE, MK, 3S, KOF, BB, SC4, MVC3). If we had a PS2 or backwards compatible PS3, we even had Capcom vs. SNK 2 available.
Met some people and learning some things. A novice like myself greatly appreciated the event and atmosphere.
Like us to keep up with our moves: http://www.facebook.com/thebfpguys
We also plan on attending alot of other events around the state to meet everyone and forming relationships. (especially ReSe & EZ)
Some of our guys have already been to EZ.
We’ll announce dates for our future training sessions for the next two months soon.
Any way these sessions can last longer
I get off work on fridays around 8
Yeah. Guy was pretty smart. That’s what I get for playing SF4 D:
I’ll check with our guy who has the connect with the place.
troll
why is he a troll?
It is a safe assumption considering they are posting in the NC thread.
Everybody is a troll here.
Why isn’t Akuma S tier in SSF4?
ggs to everyone I played in AE at State today, I was the Ryu player. My XBL gamertag is d2m shotty d2m if anyone wants to add me for some matches in AE and hopefully UMvC3 if the netcode isn’t complete garbage.
I body all those kids so I’m unimpressed. Plus everyone knows Ken is better. This has been proven since 3S.
Health. Other than that he’s godlike.
side note
Who was the guy that broke out the PS2 and games at the last ReSe? Really wanted to get some CvS2 in, but since there was only one controller could only play against the CPU. If whomever is gonna bring it back I can see about bringing a backwards compatible PS3 so that way there won’t be any issues with compatible sticks or controllers. Same goes for EZ if I am able to attend either one of them. Just give me a heads up.
Actually I was extremely dissapointed with this. It’s a novelty thing but I know I’m not gonna feel like it at all most of the time when I’m focused on the match. Also accidentally x factoring and DHCing is going to be annoying. That’s my main complaint with ultimate.
That does suck man. I was thinking of carrying on the EZ legacy in Raleigh once you move on to better things IRL… need to figure out a good venue. If I can get it popping, might even be cool to make it a RESE outpost for more eastern NC or something.
Really good shit today man. I mean this with respect when I say you reminded me of why I hate SF4 lol
If you ever want to come out to play some games I do gatherings in Raleigh outside of Cary on Thursdays / Tuesdays / Saturdays (not all in the same week but those are the days it varies from). You’re more than welcome at my place, it’s good to have new talent in NC.
Apparently reports say you will not have to mash that hard for max damage, but I don’t know mashing for supers should be like a visual thing like lets say you mash during dooms lv3, he should press the button really fast over and over again should be the same effect damage wise as not mashing but more of a cool visual thing, if you feel like. I just don’t feel comfortable mashing on a stick it just feels wrong I don’t know how to describe it.
Buy happ parts then.
There’s not even evidence that mashing will be worth it. All of those extra hits could end up messing up the damage scaling/hitstun with follow-up combos/DHCs.
