Looks like I know one person at least who is interested and I believe qualified. So there are people out there.
One idea: how about a tourney around the KOF launch if they can do a midnight release of that.

This is why I personally liked Grandia II. Sure many of the bosses weren’t too hard if you fought EVERY monster battle you could find leading up to them, but in order to get EVERY secret there was you pretty much had to. Doing this also helped avoid mindless grinding and at the cost of your time treasure hunting you were able to focus more on beating the main bosses important to the storyline. If you decided not to go treasure hunting then you would have a tougher time defeating some of the lesser bosses, but still doable. People actually disliked Grandia II because they avoided grinding. I for one personally enjoyed it, especially not having to worry about stupid random battles and being able to explore without random interruptions.
Tales > FE.
Hahaha, a MvC3 player getting mixed up easily. That doesn’t sound too good.
But where in Tatarus did the debate of RPGs come into play? As much as I do enjoy RPGs and probably gonna go pop one in soon, lets not exclude fighting games from a FIGHTING GAMES FORUM.

Alright guys I have the info up for Novembers tourney.
Now that the RACE is over I can go back to Concord. That’s right, I am back in the hotel I was at for Sept. The venue was amazing, the internet was awesome, and we could drink, smoke, and eat.
If you were there last time you remember how HYPE the place was.
The stream will be LIVE!!! The power outlets will work and the salt will be pouring.
See you guys there.
Also I should have UMvC3 there for you guys to play too. We won’t have a tourney for it cause it won’t be out for a few more days. If some of you are daring you could MM on it, lol.
I HAVE HOTEL ROOMS BLOCKED OFF FOR ME SO YOU GUYS CAN GET A GOOD RATE ON A ROOM IF YOU NEED TO STAY. I WILL HAVE SOME PRICES UP SOON.
Like I said i’ll let you know. Really unsure how KOF13 will do in NC but honestly maybe I can just make this one and the december one if I manage my money enough.
If you haven’t been to this guys tournaments yet time to start carpooling and find a way cause they are great.
A - fuckin’ -men!! Glad to see there’s another Grandia II fan out there (Although Grandia I is twice a good)
Fair enough. For the record, I agree with most everything you said, and I recognize it as a valid opinion of someone who ACTUALLY PLAYS THE GAME, but I guess the difference is that FE difficulty is more about the random “Fuck you player, start over this time” by the RNG and designer trolling than perhaps more legitimate challenge such as “you need to memorize this boss pattern” or “get your blocking skills up, son” like other challenging games that encourage you to improve yourself.
I can see why people don’t consider the “cheap” challenges to be true difficulty unlike the “tough, but fair” games.
In FE, it’s like…“Lyn just missed a 94% hit chance that you REALLY needed her to hit, now she’s going to die…fuck you, start over” or “Ike got hit by 5 attacks in a row with a 40% hit chance when you REALLY needed him to dodge at least 1 of them, now he’s going to die…fuck you, start over”.
Grandia 1 and 2 were actually 2 of the few RPGs with a battle system I enjoyed enough that I didn’t even mind grinding. Not that you needed to since the games were so easy, but still they were great games.
LOL U MAD. Stay salty. Fuck the Knicks.
would you want '98/XI on the arcade boards or on XIII?
Thanks man, I try
I’ve only played one FE game, but regardless, I agree with this post.
They don’t have an Atomiswave, so I think 98 is the only option for the arcade. Sticks may need to be better, I played 98 there and the sticks didn’t feel right yesterday.
If you guys get XIII in early, a pre-launch tourney would be a great idea. Gamestops ran a MK tourney before they released the game, and you could advertise it on dreamcancel and maybe get some attention. Does Lost Arc even sell new games?
Another option would be an 98UM or 02UM tourney on PS2, since you have the game in the store.
I can say i’d go to a pre-launch tournament personally.
I thought he was referring to your cat, in which case he was actually just being observant.
Seriously though, How come every time I come on here, Shiki is pissed and arguing with someone. SRK must be his stress relief squeeze ball. I mean normally I stay out of it but seriously, how long are you guys going to argue about game difficulty and then take retarded jabs at each other lol
At some point, does it really matter? =_=
???
Not mad, just confused now? What? Are you retarded?
Also, just for the record now that I’ve heard you insinuate and assume it so much: I’ve played (as far as I know) every FE that hit America. There was… maybe… 4 or 5? 6? I don’t recall. The RNG in any of those were no worse than anything from Vanguard Bandits. That game had some BS %'s, but still wasn’t hard. Neither were any of the Front Missions, Shining Forces, Ogre games, etc.
I think somewhere in the middle of the series is what we’re missing for some reason. Shining Force was fun but not really hard.
Lost Ark has an Atomiswave, its in the big cabinet that isn’t Outrun next to the Daytona 2 machine. Two times I was there it had Dolphin Blue and Metal Slug 6 playing.
I still think a 3s tourney just on console would work for this as it is the 3s players who will want to raise money for 3s afterall.
Anyone live like, in Western NC near TN boarder? wow
XI would be an option then. I think Neowave’s the better KOF though.
Grown men arguing about fire emblem on a street fighter forum instead of playing street fighter.
Idea for a farce.
