You know, I was just thinking, if homing wasn’t free in AH3 I could do air excaliburs over and over and nobody could do anything about it. That would be pretty amazing. I think they put too many unblockable things in this game to not have a universal movement option to get out of them. It may not have even been their intention originally lol. It doesn’t bother me that much though, probably because my characters mostly have amazing normals in the air. I don’t see many of the flying around the screen matches though, but that may be because Rob spends most of his time making us block things and Doug sits on the ground and throws huge normals around.
Matt can’t do what he wants with his character of choice in the game, basically, from what I understand. That’s certainly a valid point I’d say. He probably placed well off of fundamentals. I think Matt could enter uh…x new anime game at a major and get top 8.

Okay still that was then this is now, and it doesn’t change the fact that you are being a huge fucking prick non-stop to the players. Like sure bash the game I get that but bashing the players :/. Like I just find it very rude when you are sitting there telling other people all the time about your big old top 8 and if you still played you would be the best player in NC but the game isn’t worth your time, if you really think that we have a big enough scene and will be charging $10 and I know you like winning and making money so come on and just collect.

On the subject of Arcana, I just personally feel that if you haven’t played the game long enough to keep up with current competitive standards, opinions are likely to be obsolete. The mindset and strategy of a game will always change over time. As people learn, certain aspects become stronger, and some become weaker. This holds true for any fighting game, and Arcana is no exception. If you want to prove a point, the worst thing you can do is talk about how great you were when the game was out for 2 or 3 weeks (let alone, not even available in the US). It’s completely irrelevant because everyone is good (by competitive standards) at a newly released game… because no one knows how to play it yet.

Ya we try to play weekly in Greenville. Frank is nice enough to let us use his place for games.
Games when they come out reward a vastly different skillset then games that are mature in the lifecycle. Arcana has really been a breath of fresh air to me in terms of having a game where there’s stuff to discover and flexibility to be creative in your strategy. I really wish I could play the game with people and see if I could get better- I’m feeling the limits of where I’m at right now.
I never did, or said, any of this. I haven’t once mentioned the skill level of any players in this state. Rob’s Scharl is good enough to make me rage, Brent is, was, and always has been Brent good, and while I haven’t played Doug, watching him is quite impressive. Does that change the fact that I, if I enjoyed the game in the same way that I enjoyed AHF, believe I would be the best player? No. But that’s irrelevant, because the game isn’t enjoyable enough to me to matter in that sense. That doesn’t mean we don’t have good Arcana players.
On the other hand, you? You’re absolute ass. You lost to me in a tournament in which I hadn’t played the game in months. You were ass at Melty, you were ass at Blaz, you were ass at GG, and you’re ass at Arcana. I would tell you to stay free, but that isn’t even remotely necessary; it’s a guarantee.

Was this in AH3 you know when I just started fucking playing the game against real players instead of sitting in training mode/watching vids, or was this in something else when I just started playing fighters I’m not really sure. It’s hard to believe you don’t think something like that when you constantly mention how none of us have made top 8 and you have, and yes you do this.
