I don’t even think I’ve ever picked Akuma before, lol. For one of our random tournaments, we had ‘COMPUTER’ in our tourney brackets, and basically you had to beat the computer on US-3 on a single credit. It was pretty entertaining watching Watson cream the entire 16-man roster, before getting fucked up by Akuma. lol.
Speaking of NCR, I’m shopping around for cheaper hotel rates than the Domain, do you guys know anything about this joint?
It looks shitty, but as long as the shower is kind of hot and the bed sheets are fresh, I’m happy. Don’t plan on spending much time in the hotel anyways.
I’m down to hang out on Friday night for ST. NCR doesn’t charge for spectators on Saturday right? I might as well go and cheer on Millertime and play casuals on Saturday.
Sorry that we are completely at capacity and no room for additional side events. But I plan to have casual stations open up around 3PM Fri (when SFxT pools conclude). I’ll have these casual stations available the rest of Fri and all day Sat. If you guys don’t mind PS3 version of ST, I can make at least 1 station available. Just let me know.
Well ps3 is laggy but if we had a side tourney there on Saturday it would have more players entering with the possibility of top players like Choi entering. Why must it be ps3? What if someone brought an xbox? The xbox version is a lot better. We just need xbox sticks to lend to people who don’t have xbox sticks. I have one I can lend and papasi has some too.
Could we run a side tourney with xbox? Can we even run a side tourney or does it have to be casuals? And are you going to be at gamecenter tomorrow for the ST Games tournament at 2pm?
Either way thanks for always trying to help us ST players out.
Totally understand that you guys are booked at full capacity, but it’s nice to see that you still got love for ST and willing to get us 1 casuals station.
So if we’re meeting up at Gamecenter on Friday night, then I guess I’ll spend Friday afternoon and most of Saturday playing casuals at NCR. I don’t really much care if it’s on xbox or ps3.
Hey guys, so the tourney won’t start at 2pm, I’m taking signups, It’ll probably start around 3-4 pm because you fools are late anyways, I said 2pm so you guys can get your asses out of bed to not be super late.
In other news, good luck to all those who are competing in the qual this weekend, and most importantly have fun. As I’ve stated before, I can’t make it to family commitments. Go for broke!
For the NCR date, why don’t we just hang out at the domain as Choi is offering? I’ll be over there for NCR, and really, it’s a far drive from the Domain to San Mateo (30 mins).
X360s are easy enough to bring, and everyone can use their own sticks. I don’t see why we can’t hold a side tourney in the casual section as long as it’s not interrupting with the main event games. If anyone brings an ASUS we can do work in a hotel room.
A bit off topic, thelo is throwing a HDR tournament at south sf embassy suite on june 9. I know a lot of you also play HDR. The early bird registration ($30+$10) ends monday if you guys are interested
OK, Choi already said side tourney at ncr is out of the question, we should respect that.
However, if they allow us to bring in our own equipment (xbox lcd, etc) I can offer to bring my supergun + 2 ps2 sticks if anyone can bring a CRT and we can play all day saturday at Domain hotel.
Friday is too hectic at domain hotel as stations / spaces won’t be available until the pools are done, and tournament can run late. And sunday I believe as usual downstairs will be closed off so there will be no casuals.
So we can play at Game Center friday night and xbox/supergun casuals on saturday at domain hotel (again, if they allow us and someone can bring a CRT).
Anyway, see you guys tomorrow at Game Center.
Remember, myung requires everyone who wants to use the Supergun to chip in $3. Please also give $1 extra to myung so we can charge up a communal card for cab play ($0.10 per game).
If you guys want to bring an Xbox for ST, I can switch out the 1 casual PS3 for the Xbox. And I can’t make any promises yet but if we have room, I’ll let you bring a 2nd setup so that you’ll have 2 available. You are free to do what you want with those 2 setups including having a tournament as long as you guys don’t take over too much room from other casual stations.
congrats to ultracombo & your vehement opposition when someone suggested changing the entry fee to $5 right before we start lol. I agree that we should stick to the agreed upon rules.
ggs to all and thanks to mizuki for doing all the work.
