character’s that I would like are:
- hugo, haggar, and rolento to represent the made gear gang from final fight
- dean from final fight 3 would be cool. They designed him very good
- dante from DMC
- onimusha main character
- regina from dino crisis (her super moves with dinosaurs would kick ass)
- agrippa from shadow of rome (it’s a fun game and this is the only way I see an encore performance)
-viewtiful joe - some rival school characters
- zero from megaman x series
- maximo
- victor croix from chaos legion

I think the reason why there even is a C vs S is because in those days SNK was going out of business. They were closing offices in many different countries. Programmers went their own way and some even went to capcom.
In any case if a part 3 did some that would mean they would have to involve other titles into the mix.
example part 1 had king of fighters, fatal fury, SF, and darkstalkers
part 2 had rival school, SF3, samurai shodown, and last blade
Do any of you see other titles made from both capcom and SNK?
I’d actually like to see Viewtiful Joe in SF. That would be pretty fucking cool. Same goes for Dante in DarkStalkers. Really, the only reason I even need to see another DS game though, is the following:
Capcom currently has people’s attention with the DarkStalkers series. Which means it’s popular. Which means that if a new DS hits arcades, people will start playing it. That’s when I come in, and start laying the smackdown on everyone there, using Hsien-Ko.

a darkstalker 4? Really? So far the only thing I heard was a compilation of all 5 versions of the darkstalker game. It seems that in japan they had 5 versions of darkstalkers but only 3 of them made it to america.
I forgot the title is like vampire chronicles or something like that.

There is no Darkstalkers 4 as far as I know. Remember that many of the posts in this thread are very old. A while back there was a rumor that a Darkstalkers-related release would be coming, but it was almost certainly in reference to the PS2 collection (which I so need to get now that I have a PS2…) and nothing else.
And 2D is the only way to go.
Just about any of the characters mentioned so far would be great replacements for any of the SF3 characters.

As much as I would like to have a 2D gme I don’t think that’s going to happen. As PS3 and x-box both advertise over how stong their game engine is, it seems very slim that they would allow a 2D game to go on heir console. Only PS2 and portable gaming would allow 2D games.

Usually these kinds of threads are titled “Who should be in MVC3”, but this is pretty interesting. I would have liked Michelle Heart or Arthur to be in a game. I know Capcom lost the Marvel license but there are still plenty of characters for a “hyper” type game.
I like makoto except her vertical punch always seems to miss. Common girl use your other hand, the opponent is on the other side. haha.
As for twelve I would like to see more combos from him.
One of the most annoying thing about this roster mix up from other games is putting characters that are too small. Almost every move misses when fighting serverbot in M vs C.
I don’t just want to duck and press a button rapidly. There’s no strategy in that.

Anyway, dunno if it’s been said, but I think Dante & Virgil from DMC would make great fighting game chars. Nemesis in RE3 would also be an interesting one.
