This may just be a variation in our play styles, but I’ve maintained the belief that an aerial assault is the best option. He’s just got too many ways to punish you for messing up on the ground. If you’re on the ground and you mess up once against a good Tager then it’s pretty much over.
Anyway, a great variation of the combo I use against Tager can be found here, starting at (2:26):
Hey guys i just borrowed this game from my friend yesterday and got interested in Noel. Pretty fun i’ll buy it soon.
Anyways Dustloop says in order to combo 6C to 6C you have to do BC. Whenever i do it i see a grab whiff. but whenever i watch videos i never see the grab animation come out. Help.
You’ve got to dash cancel out of the throw whiff. As soon as you see her head slightly dip, quickly press 6, 6C to connect the two 6C hits. It takes a lot of practice, and I can’t even do it very consistently yet, but I CAN do it. It helps to train against Arakune when trying to get it down.
A 5B to 3C loop usually works nicely. Personally I just try to 3C under the icecar, 2D over it, or just 4D it since it takes priority.
Rushing him like he owes you money and try to land a poke. If he constantly brings bugs out, sometimes all you can do is barrier block and outlast the curse. Watch for him to teleport into a throw, tech it and hit with a 236C, or dash and start a 3C combo. Sometimes an aerial C will take out a Bell bug since they’re both technically projectiles.
Some dustloop members use a button to get the timing down before the command. but off that topic, it feels like I am hitting a wall…I gotta learn something new…
Ive been lurking for about a week or 2 now (right when i bought blazblue) and finally decided to make an accnt here.
SO HELLO WORLD.
First off i would like to give a word of thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread, especially Brandino and Heartnana.
i have learned a lot from everyone and i would REALLY want to see how i stand between other noel players out there who dont press D all day long (seems D spammers are the only noel players i bump into on psn).
When I want to do …->3C->22C->6C(BC)->6C->D->6B->C->6B->C->236D
I always miss the 2nd 6B of the Chain Revolver Combo because the Opponent is too high in the air.
What do I have to do in order to get my 2nd 6B hit the enemy?
Is there still enough time to delay? Everytime I want to delay the 6B the Chain Revolver is already “over”… meaning I cannot chain into Chain Revolver Moves anymore.
Or do I have to delay the whole Chain Revolver Combo?^^
ok thought i might as well put this out there…
can anyone help me with the timing for noels j.D landing recovery.
i cant seem to get it. i always hit the ground and she does a 5D instead of the cancel.
much help would be appreciated
you have to do j.d as your about to land like pretty close to floor level… pretty much the way i’ve done it is as about to be pretty close to floor level… i input 236D(or whatever special you pull out from drive) pretty much the game thinks your doing j.d but you end up doing said special because you input the notation as you were doing j.d .so when you land you do said special… but you have to mad low to the ground…you can also do it with out chain moves… like j.(6)D… so it reads the foward input and you end up doing drive 6b while you land… hope this helps
No, you don’t want to delay entire thing; specifically, do not delay the first 6B. Everything else can be delayed a bit, but the only important things to delay are the second 6B and the final 236D. The second 6B can actually be delayed for a huge amount of time. In fact, you can delay it so long that Noel steps back before it and whiffs. Just play around with it in training until you find the right timing.
You aren’t required to delay the 236D, but if you can hit it exactly, it will do two hits rather than one.
Hmm correct me if Im wrong but I what i’m doing is a 5D to cancel and inputting the next command really fast afterwards such as 6B. So do i actually do j.6D>B instead?
Thanks for the help
I’m fairly certain that I’ve done it before in practice, but I could be wrong. I’ll pay more attention, and let you know when I can say with certainty that it’s possible.
