No Shirt, No Shoes, No Hetero, No Service

I don’t see a no soliciting sign in front of that place just make out in front of those windows and show them the fun we’re having.

Just wanted to thank Serpent for the Lawyerese side of this, gaining more knowledge is always beneficial to one’s existence.

Yes, indeed.

I appreciate your knowledge on the topic, but I’m aware of the standards of the MRLDE, but thinking like a lawyer has nothing to do with what I said as I’m simply pointing out the fact that most people have read about their fair share of ridiculous suits existing so what’s actually dumb is you denying suits like these exist:

Also I’m surprised 3 people on SRK remembered Nickrocks manages an Arbys

You should really just quit while you’re not too far behind.

You tried to jump in an attempt to make yourself look smart. That is why you started off with an insult and used that emoticon. You figured everyone would cheer you on for showing how smart you were.

The initial comment was just as stupid as your own comment. I’m still trying to grasp your logic on even trying to follow up on that comment.

If your stance is everyone can be sued for anything at all times, then why would you even bother singling out an event that would open liability? It would just be assumed.

Let it go, or I really will take the kid gloves off in my next post.

anyone can file a lawsuit against anyone for anything in the United States to include being told that if you don’t wear a shirt then you will be refused service.

It would be a shame if the government regulated racism

If the man believes a gay clientelle will drive away people from his private business let him

Down low Gay men can use it as a seedy place for hookups

Please tell me you are joking…

So we got gays teens being shot because they are playing their music too loud and people dressing up in “gay” face these days?

Oh we don’t gee I guess that means you can shut the fuck up now thanks…

Most homophobic dudes don’t care for lesbians, because they relate to them being attracted to women. But they don’t relate to lookin for another’s man ass to fuck with.

Rich people like to feel elite, so expensive places will often use dress codes to weed out the poor. If you’re rich enough you can wear whatever you want and people won’t say crap to you.

Wealth is a bit different than other demographics because theoretically anyone can amass large amounts of money. The amount of money you have can vastly change over time and isn’t inherently tied to your state of being like race or sexuality.

I would say there is a difference between a dress code and a place going “Gays and Darkies GTFO”.

Gay teens just get harassed or physically assaulted simply for being themselves. No loud music needed.

And gays face challenges not typically seen in racial minorities, such as marriage and reproductive rights.

Discrimination takes on many forms and often the logic used to oppress one group is used again on other groups. Just because the plight of blacks and gays aren’t exactly the same on all dimensions doesn’t mean people can’t draw parallels.

What about “suit and tie” places?

@Angelpalm I am sorry that you are seemingly unaware of the hate and discrimination that goes on. Look up Alan Turing, Matthew Shepard, and pretty much the entirety of Jamaica, Russia, and Africa. If you think Gays don’t suffer from similar, if not worse discrimination, then please open your eyes.

Maryland does which is scary how left wing everything is out here. Our governor Martin O’Malley is basically a White Irish Obama. Only New England area and California are more liberal.
I went Republican just to throw off all the pinko commie bastards Democrats. As someone have to stand for reason and logic in Democrat land.

This does apply to the state, but the advantage retail store or restaurant can’t claim this. Even the Chick-fill-a here have to accept the flaming gays for service.

Bars or Restaurants with Bars can as they can claim to be a private club here. Private Clubs can pick and choose there clients, but it still a grey area as you can’t make it obvious your exclusion someone dude to race, gender or sexual preference. Strip Clubs are a whole another mess with there own rules, they all exist in the part of Baltimore “where you can get a STD by simply walking down the street”.

better not drop the soap.

Checks link.

…I couldn’t even read that shit with a straight face. They need to be countersued for something equally as stupid as what they are doing.

-Starhammer-

I addressed that above. Dress codes are usually used as a wealth check.

Also most ‘suit and tie’ places get around many regulations by defining themselves as a private club.

Or a straight dude acting out the gay male stereotype on purpose.

What if a homosexual male and female go into a restaurant together and they seem like a heterosexual couple, but they don’t reveal their sexuality to the waiter (who would’ve refused service if he knew) until after they’re finished eating… right before the bill?
So much potential just to fuck with businesses who try to pull that shit. It’s just stupid.

I think the best way to pull this off would be to have a double date of two apparent male/female couples who in fact two homosexual couples. Then when it’s time to freak out the establishment you could just switch to your real partner.

Damn, now I kinda want to troll Arizona.

Honestly its a wild law. But it is based off religion, but I can only imagine if every religion wanted to flex their beliefs the shit would get extreme. I mean you already have the right to refuse service to anyone. I think this will just be protecting the business from getting sued if they kick a dude out for walkin in lookin and acting like Perez Hilton

Then again out of the gay dudes I have known only ONE of them was not stereotypical. So yeah people may be trolled, or you can expect lots of picketing outside of these establishments that will be using this law for whatever reason, because losing business is a good idea for them I guess.

so would a private club be okay in banning homos?

i personally find banning gay people from a business ridiculous…but i also find “dress codes” ridiculous as well
