Are you kidding? From where I stand that looks pretty damn cool, especially for a DS game. Besides, you know that these are the early days, and knowing Namco, it’s bound to get more polish before things are over.
Oh yeah, and Symphonia style 2.5D battles! :lovin: No flat land, “old-schooled” Legendia crap for this game, thank god.
Ooops, I posted this in the wrong thread, haha. My bad. But, yeah, I mean, it does look good for a DS game. I played Symphonia and I liked it (still haven’t beaten it), but this is a pretty early version of the game and I’m sure it’ll look a lot better when its finished. I look forward to the complete product, but right now, it looks kinda generic as a Tales game (but of course that’s with absolutely no spell effects/abilities shown at all). My point is… I’ll wait for a better video, haha.
I found out my little MKDS error (the error was 51300, and only cropped up intermittently). If you set your wireless-G settings in your wireless router to the following:
Basic Rate: 1-2 Mbps (on my router I had a 1-2 selection, but no individual 1 or 2)
TX (Transmission) Rate: 1-2 Mbps (on my router I could pick between 1 and 2; 2 still occasionally gave me the error, 1 didn’t)
It should clear up any issues with that particular error.
Note that I didn’t discover that fix on my own (though I did suspect it had to do w/ rates); I found it on a site that I cannot post here for I’d violate SRK rules.
EDIT - wait, nvm, it still occasionally does it. If it connects, it’ll still work fine for my duration on Nintendo WFC, but if it doesn’t, error 51300 again. FAAAAAAAAACK.
Well, if this helped SOMEONE then I guess it wasn’t in vain…
After playing this for a few hours over the past two days, I’ve been thinking of just calling this Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: The Game. Even without snaking, the occasional mini turbos throughout a race can easily start cramping your right index finger, and your thumb will have an imprint of the “A” button after only a few minutes to play.
I’m not hating on the game or anything as this is more the fault of the DS’s button design than the actual game (although it couldn’t have troubled them too much to add a button config). Although, part of this is just because the game is so damn hard to put down
Again, send me an IM at any time, and I’ll be down to play provided that my right hand hasn’t fallen off.
