Anyone try the new Wayport wireless in McDonalds? I’m wondering if it costs to connect, I’m not completely sure. Can someone shed some light on me? Thataway, I can hang at the local McD’s and play there since I’ve no wireless router.

Oh homie that mess is free. It’s made just for the DS and nothing else. You can’t go online with a psp or computer at Micky D’s so it’s free. And you don’t need a wireless router. There are these things called wireless access points that allow one device to go in the internet through a broadband connection. A few weeks back there was a decent one for like, $13 bucks, and worked with the DS. This way you don’t have to buy nintendo’s expensive but flawless usb wireless dongle.

EDIT - I thought I should “sell” the Yahoo! Group a little more by saying they also come with calenders to schedule events (like tournaments) and creatable databases where you can store certain information for quick easy access (like a database for friend codes or old tournament results).

Don’t have Animal Crossing yet.

A couple of questions for those that have been using DS wifi for a bit:

Sometimes, I just can’t connect to WFC through Mario Kart. The error is that there’s “no access point in range.” However, when I DO connect, no matter where I am in my whole house (my router’s in the basement), I never go below 3 bars. I did like 12 races in a row at every corner of my house and had no connection issue, not even once. When I CAN’T connect, I can’t no matter how close or far I am to my wireless router. Despite the error message, I suspect it’s Nintendo WFC. Any ideas?

Also, anyone willing to part with their Mario Kart DS case? Not the game, manual, or other innards; just the mini-DVD case part. I’d pay for it; PM me if you’re interested.
