Nintendo 3DS - Best Handheld Today

i agree you are not a “brick” but a group of them large enough to construct an edifice.

i haven’t. i’m still pissed about mml3.
while i do love megaman and all i’m not trying to relive the past through “nostalgia” or whatever other strawman arguments the internet likes to throw out there.
i just want a beloved franchise of mine to further grow and expand.
it’s not that i refuse to move on, i want to with the next innovation and evolution of said franchise.
megaman was still young in terms of it’s potential. He’s just one of those mascots you can do anything with, but then capcom takes all this potential and flushes it down the drain.
not to mention how capcom pretty much just snapped his neck and dragged him through the streets.
it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of fans.

Cannot wait to dress my cat up as Rosalina!

Young? I’ve said this before, but most media franchises consider it to be a crowning achievement to still be making new installments after five years, let alone the twenty-five that Megaman has gotten. That’s a respectable age to hang things up, especially when each successive installment was getting more and more stale, even in the eyes of fans. You want to pull the plug before you reach complete Franchise Zombification, like Sonic, or The Simpsons.

yes young in terms of potential.
unlike those other series you mentioned megaman has many outlets to grow upon not just one.
yes i agree anything can become stale if you keep adding on to it, but megaman went of in many directions like classic, x, legends, battlenetwork, zero, zx, and starforce.
some of these series just over stayed their welcome instead of trying to build upon the absent ones, innovate the old ones or create a new outlet entirely.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain…

Need I go on? Mega Man has had its run. Let it die before New Age Capcom fucks the legacy up.

what about super mario, zelda, kirby, and donkey kong country.

either way megaman fans don’t need capcom to get their mm fix any more with azure, and mighty number 9.

still a shame though about mml3 that could’ve used one more in it’s series it’s not like that one had 7 or 8 sequels.

i’m fine with all the other ones with enough in their series ending ,but mml3 and the fans of mml didn’t deserve that.

The Megaman Legends 3 cancellation still doesn’t make sense to me. I mean, from what I saw, the fan demand/support was there. Yet Capcom canned it and claimed the fans (or supposed lack there-of) were to blame?

Nintendo. They know what they’re doing.

Because they are assholes.

Because that was also around the time Inafune left so they wanted to disassociate themselves with mega man for a while. Simple as that.

Those first three were all releasing functionally solid entries, at a rate that was steady, but not overwhelming to the point where it seemed like milking.

But it’s nice that you mentioned DKC, because that was also a franchise that was dormant for a long time, only being used for poorly-made spinoffs. And then was revived by a team who took a step back, looked at what made the series great to begin with, and then crafted a great game out of that. And now DKC is popular again.

Mega Man needs that retrospective break period if he ever wants to come back and not wallow in mediocrity like he was before.

ps4 usf4 just a bad port fault of the 3rd party and sony.
sonic legitimate example
devil may cry doesn’t have nearly as much titles under it’s belt this was just completely left field.
dragon ball gt isn’t even by the original creator ,but then again what toriyama has been putting out sure has been going down that road (battle of the gods was shit).
nintendo is living proof that old mascots can survive you just gotta treat them right.

It already did if your one of those guys that hate Battle Network and Starforce. Continuing to use the 8-bit graphics after MM9 can potentially be one.

Mario Sunshine is garbage. Skyward Sword can eat a dick with those awful motion controls (I don’t like the Zelda series so take my word for a grain of salt).

I loved Mario Sunshine.

I love Battle Network.

Nothing wrong with Skyward Sword’s controls.

Me, too lol.

Battle Network 1 was really good.

3 was fun as hell.
