I mean non-3ds owner, but I’ve played these games(older versions, not the remakes).
The grind heavy gamer in me enjoyed it, but I remember the game being really hard, sparse and hard to find save points, and worse, HIGH encounter rates.
It was like Final Fantasy on the NES. It’s not like it’s a bad game. But if you aint ready to grind ridiculously hard to experience the game in its entirety, don’t bother.
Been playing Project X Zone to try to get that done since for the longest time I had the game but hadn’t opened it yet. Game is fun but I can see how it can get repetititve. They have some nice ideas with what they’re trying to do what with trying to make the combos kind of timing based to get criticals and trying to make sure that the enemy doesn’t hit the ground but the game still feels like it’s missing some things. It might be the fact that I prefer a bit more strategy in my strategy RPG’s in comparison to Fire Emblem’s? In anycase it’s a nice diversion and I don’t regret picking it up when it first came out since I’d like them to continue working on the formula and make it better while releasing the games stateside.
Agree and disagree I guess. Imo the difficulty is just right for me; enough to keep me on my toes, take a loss and rethink my team for the rematch instead of steam rolling the mob/boss without thinking but I guess that’s subjective.
but hey I would have absolutely agreed if there was no lower difficulty than default. It’d be pretty fucked up. something like Etrian Odyssey is an exception though
Anyways it’s a great JRPG overall, nab it.
Well uh… not sure if I want to spoil your fun about the former.
Anyways for the latter, I think Fire emblem 12: Heroes of Light and Shadow had a great mix between RPG and strategy. ESPECIALLY compared to Awakening. Definitely look into it.
Otherwise just go to full blown strategy like Advance wars: Days of Ruin *if you haven’t played that already
So anybody pissed that the one item to link to the real murderer was something as simple as claiming that the victim’s blood is on it? Considering how knowledgeable Prof Means is in Law, you would think he’d cover his bases especially on a staff that he carries around 24/7. Am I missing something here?
I got Attack of the Friday Night Monsters. It’s really different, and different can be outstanding, but I’m not really connecting with this game so far. Oh well, I got it on sale at least.
Just copped Mario & Luigi Dream Team for $15 at Target. The store had it at full price, but I showed them the flyer and they corrected the price.
Also got a eShop card so I can grab Phoenix Wright. Don’t know when the shop will be back up though.
