I think the 3DS is worth the 250.00, but i think Street Fighter 4:3D edition should be like 10 dollars. IMO, if you have it on console, leave it that way. The game is a practical lag box on the portable and i dont understand how it is so go…umm, did you miss the title the first time? damn. l HOPE the game calendar gets much better within the next 6 months because im not looking forward to half the crap they have for US
I will buy this when Mario Kart 3DS drops…
Will all that be enough to separate it from future iDevices and Android devices?
But yes, the system is desperate for good games but so was the DS when it first came out. My biggest issue with the DS is Nintendo still dragging their feet when it comes to the Online area. It’s like friend codes still?

Also here’s at least a games list for the front feel free to add/delete as SRK sees fit. The stuff on this list is a combination of what I’ve heard(SRK, Gaf, customers, etc) and metacritic.

^ I thought Mega Man Legends 3 was cancelled after Inafune’s departure.
no Mega Man Legends 3 is still on going…that was an April Fools joke. Mega Man Universe was the game that got canned for real.
^Phiuuuu, thats good to hear then. Anyway, are 3DS games “patchable” or able to receive DLC? I suppose they are because in the 3DS there seems to be an OS running all the time (I am probably jumping the gun here), unlike Wii or oldschool DS.
No telling on that yet but if I were a betting man I wouldn’t hold my breath. However…if I’m not mistaken saving info now takes place on the actual system itself and not actually the catridges anymore right? I’m assuming this is the case for the Spot Pass feature to work without the game even being in the system. If this is the case then I’m sure there’s probably a possibility in there somewhere for DLC but whether Nintendo or 3rd parties are going to actually put forth the effort to make it available is a different story.
If there is going to be DLC I’m betting either SSFIV3D, RE: Mercs, DOA: Dimensions, Animal Crossing, or Mario Kart to be one of the first games to do it.
SSF4 3DS saves extra data on the SD card but the primary data is still on the cartridge, this was one of the first things I tried out with a friend’s 3DS.
hmmmm…if that’s the case then I’m leaning more towards a possible no but you never know…it might take a 3rd party to actually do something like what Viscarious Visions did for the Wii. This gonna have to end up being a ‘we’ll see what happens’ type thing.
Really? But thats somewhat consistent with how the HD consoles manage patch / DLC data, they are never one and the same with the save data. In this case the save data happens to be in the cartridge and the extra data (StreetPass, potencial DLC / Patch data, etc) in the SD card. But I agree that is still very uncertain at this stage.
I would have thought that DLC would be bundled with the save data on the harddrive for the consoles considering the way how they work ( I’m in no way sure on that since for me to have that knowledge I’d actually have to know C++ and all that jazz and work in the industry to see how everything is lumped together in the save data). The reason I’m leaning to no is as far as I know cartridges have had very little space to write over things save for the designated space for save data. You’re telling me though that it’s not the case and they’re more seperate so that’s interesting to me and moves me back on the fence.
while browsing gaf someone uploaded a picture of muramasa in 3D

You know what I also wouldn’t mind seeing in 3D? Punch-out!! I think that game could work pretty well in 3D.
Kid Icarus Uprising in August, eh?
That gives me a target month to save up for a 3DS…
Mercenaries is in July? I was hoping it’d come out in June.
Honeslty, given I have Ocarina of time on the N64 and GC with Master Quest, I will pass on the 3DS port/remake. Star Fox 64 port/remake has my full attention… provided they don’t fuck it up by trying to cram in on foot missions.
I’ve also been hearing Ghost Recon is a pretty solid RTS anyone try to play it that can give their own thoughts?
my 3DS is dead weight right now collecting fing dust. i want to buy games, but nothing i want to spend my fing money on.
I’ve been taking it everywhere outside to rack up some 3DS play coins. Besides that, I’ve been using it to play DS games like Pokemon Black. Diddy Kong Racing DS with the Circle Pad is godlike.
