does sako b-link or double tap lp?? or is his timing just that nutty?
Pretty sure all japs double tap.
You can’t double tap 1F links. I mean you can, but you have to be early by 2f to hit the link with the second LP. The game needs a frame to register you letting go of the button.
Yes you can double tap 1frame links, and yes that’s generally how double tapping works.
Sako doesn’t double tap jab.
You can’t get two consecutive button presses using the same button in this game. There’s at least a 1 frame gap between button presses, which means that double tapping does not really help at all for 1f links. I’m assuming sako just has impeccable timing.
On a related note, I was thinking about adding a button to the left of my jab button and wiring it to be the Back/Select button so I could b-link s.lp. I feel like I’d probably be yelled at and most likely not be able to use my stick if I did that, though. Non-plinkable 1 frame links shouldn’t exist…even sako fucks it up sometimes. I feel like I’d just be patching up bad game design as opposed to being cheap, but I doubt everyone else would feel that way.
Just because there’s a 1frame gap doesn’t mean it’s useless. If you happen to time your double tap 2frames too early, then you’ll still get it. Yes it’s not as reliable or consistent than plinking, but it’s better than nothing.
Go ahead and rewire your stick. I already did it to mine and I can tell you tsumuji looping is a hell of a lot easier.
blinking is perfectly possible on the pad man. i had a bit of a problem getting used to plink with such a small button, but i sort of got used to it and its ok now.
I’m going for it…gonna add a 30mm hole to the top of my control panel on my TE stick above the mp button. Easier said than done though, haha. I have no idea what I’m doing…I’m just gonna go grab a drill and a 30mm bit and go to town, I guess.
i would do it to the left of the lk but too each his own =)
For some reason I can get s.lp to link (while testing on Abel) but not f.lk. Is f.lk after light tsumuji also one frame and does it work against all characters?
Standing jab is 3f and F LK is 4. So it won’t work. If for some reason you would want to do F LK after tsuji use MK (which links on certain characters, like Abel).
i can get loop #5 to work (from the chart on google) sometimes im guessing that is the most important one to have downpat since it works on every character except for the 5 that are immune to all rite? is this something that is very hard to learn or could i do it in a week? like if i played for 2+ hours a day and did nothing but practice that one loop does it seem realistic that i could be pro at it in like a week or 2? tho i guess that isnt easy for someone else to answer…but wat i really want to know is ppl that know how to do it( at least loop #5) how long did it take u to get a pretty good handle on it?
Loop 5 is actually kind of useless. I just put it in there because it’s the only loop that works on T.Hawk.
Imo, the two most important loops are off TC4 (loop 2) and off st.MP,st.MK (loop 13). TC4 is important since it’s your most common combo starter, and st.MP,st.MK is important because it works on everyone loopable, except T.Hawk but you don’t really need to loop him anyways.
How long it takes to learn depends on how good you are at 1f links, and if you have some sort of configuration where you can plink with select.
ok thanks pardon my stupidity again ==’
Control = Arcade Edition, Training Mode, Samsung TV, MadCats TE FightStick, No Sound
Differences = Xbox 360 Component 60HZ <-> PC HDMI 60HZ (standard V-Sync, no Triple Buffering)
Other = Results are Averaged over 3 attempts.
Tsumuji Loops (out of 30) success rate:
PC = 80%
Xbox 360 = 30%
Tested on Abel (so that’s 2 1-framers per Tsumuji Loop).
lol, might go down to the Arcades and compare.
P.S. This is either a case of differences in input lag of video update speed. The PC version may have more lag but I myself may find the timing easier.
Did you do 360 first or PC first? Maybe it’s because you were “training” on the 360 experiments, then got in the zone with the PC?
Nah I alternated. Being a scientist makes me good at doing fair tests. (lol)
I haven’t really messed with PC version all that much, but for some reason the timing for jab after tsumuji feels slightly easier. I never really did any hardcore testing on it like Izuna did, but it was one of the first things that popped into my head when I was trying it out.
I have to agree playing on the pc my combos come out much better and cleaner in comparison to playing on the ps3.Wierd
