Just need to add a few additional loops and this’ll be much awesome. Preferrably a low starter (cr.LK) and also her basic BnBs. I’ve been messing around for a while now with cr.LK xx LK Tsumuji -> Loop and had decent success with the characs I usually play against, not sure about the rest though. I even dropped my BnBs for this one.
gawd which I came here before,
been practicing TC4,st.lp, st.lk like crazy yesterday (2h almost?) on hakan … nothing works.
lk tsumuji,st.lp not working either
was wondreing wtf was going on until I try vs Rufus and it land first shot… im pissed hakan is suppose to be big no?
(sorry for my poor english)
Good idea. But how do I do that?
Good idea about the cr.LK starter. I will test it later today. But wouldn’t it depend if the cr.LK is deep or not? Or would that not matter?
Um, I don’t think you can link st.LK after that st.LP. The TC4 will push your opponent pretty far. The only things I think you can link after a TC4 is like st.LP , st.MK or something.
ya my mistake I meant st.lp st.mk
This thread is awesome and deserves a sticky, good shit mingo.
I got tired of the 1 frame link of lk tsumuji to st.lp and started using mk tsumuji to st.lp (2 frame link)
only problem is that doing this loop with the mk doesn’t really work on anyone except Abel.
Are there any tips on hitting that 1 frame link ?? I get it more often than not 70% but would like to get it alot more often
Ok something I’ve already noticed from testing loops with a cr.LK starter, it seems it’s exactly the same as starting with cl.st.MK. To be more technical, the pushback from cl.st.MK xx lk.tsumuji is exactly the same as cl.cr.LK xx lk.tsumuji (notice the cl.cr.LK, as far.cr.LK [max range cr.LK] xx lk.tsumuji has more pushback it seems). So… I’m not sure if I should make another column for these if the results are just going to be the same, just with less damage and stun.
But good news can be made from this. If you are unsure whether some bnb can be turned into a tsumuji loop, all you have to test is how far away from your opponent you are when you cancel it into lk.tsumuji, and then compare with any of the loops already tested. You’ll have to do this in the training room and look closely at the squares on the ground.
Pick Abel as the dummy and grind it out. That’s all I can really say lol.
Thanks for the up! I think loop 3 can be omitted IF it’s only just Abel, it’s much like loop 1 anyway.
I assume that this tsumuji loop is an excellent weapon in the abel match-up
It’s excellent in every match-up that it can be used in since it helps rack-up stun, and damage fast. With an added bonus of knockdown syndrome.
i ALWAYS whiff the lp whenever I try to do the loop, no matter my distance…any advice???
Just when Abel though the days of getting looped was over, another loop on him was found. The due needs to slim down and he won’t have all these loop problems lol .
This really needs to get a sticky so more people can see it. So many people dont use the loop, or try to and dont know which one to use against most characters.
Also Mingo, I think you should add in the LK>MK Target combo to Tsumuji loop since it can be looped on a majority of the cast.
Not 100% sure but st.LK xx st.MK xx lk.tsumuji should be the same as cl.st.MK xx lk.tsumuji. I don’t think the st.LK adds any additional pushback.
Important news everyone! It’s been discovered that you can plink with the Back button. Yes that useless back/select button next to the Start button that you almost never use. Now we can plink that st.LP for our tsumuji loop!
Here’s the thread: http://shoryuken.com/f315/plinking-back-start-243008/
And here’s some proof (though not with tsumuji loop):
LOL, I know right? I was like “Ibuki just got OP as balls”
Real talk though, no one should not be by passing ANY of the loops now that this has been found. I’ve always used the loops regardless since I’ve pretty much got the timing in my head now, but Blinking that shit (lol, blinking) makes it so much more viable.
Hmm I may have to start using Back/Select for all plinks now, since if you mess up the plink, no lesser input will come put since the Back/Select button doesn’t actually do anything. Like if you plinked HP with MP, and you messed up, MP will not come out.
Also I will have to learn plinking. So far I’ve grinded out every link timing lol.
haha, the select plink is ridiculous. Too bad it’s in such an awkward spot on the sticks that it requires 2 hands to do the plink. Unless you have some ridiculous hands. If I saw someone actually do that in a match, I’d give him a lot of props.
Just open your stick up, pull the leads from the back button, and stick them onto the PPP button.
would it be better to have back set to the KKK or PPP button?
Also, this thread deserves a sticky IMO.
