That would be illegal to use in tournaments, just like any other macro controller.
That would not be a simple thing to do. You would have to get like an Arduino and program it to do that macro; ie: building a macro controller. The stock PCB alone cannot do that.
Following in the footsteps of Infiltration, I’ve copied the Ibuki charts onto my phone (no more having to print them out and bring them to tournaments, har har). So far I’ve tried Kingsoft Office and OfficeSuite (I’m on Android). Kingsoft seems to be slower loading, but better since it allows you to edit stuff and most importantly, view the document in color. Does anybody else have experience viewing my charts on a smartphone? Is there a better way?
Secondly, I noticed there’s no real way for you guys to know if the chart you have is out of date or not. Is there a good way of putting in some sort of timestamp that goes into the chart? Preferably not but possibly I could just manually put in a timestamp in the first chart, the Tsumuji loop chart, and update it each time I make a change, but I’m hoping Google Docs/Drive can handle this automatically.
Also sometime eventually I’ll put in Ibuki’s full frame data for easy reference. Any other useful data I should add?
On Android, before Google Drive was recently updated, I had to use OfficeSuite to view the chart because all the tabs wouldn’t show up if I tried to view it in Drive. Now that Drive was updated, it fixed the problem I had viewing the chart. I haven’t had to use OfficeSuite since.
How about safe jump setups?
Super combos?
Reversal Ultra punishes?
Things Ibuki can punish? (like Dee Jay’s LK Rolling Sobat is punishable by s.MP and can get a loop) (of course this is if it is at point blank range but you get my drift)
Those would be great to add.
As far as viewing them on my phone I’ve had a terrible experience. The subjects at the very top or left (characters and combos) don’t show up for some reason, never figured out why. Probably some format issue or something. What I had to do is save them as a .pdf file and e-mail it to myself and then view it on my phone as a big .pdf file. That works great if I do ever decide to take a glance at it, in color too.
I have a nexus 7 and an android i take with me everywhere. I have been using google drive to display the ibuki charts before everymatch (except shotos). it is great because i have it synced to the shared chart, and have it “pinned” for offline, so i always have the latest one for offline viewing, but when i do go online, it updates auto’magically’ to the latest one.
i feel silly sometimes pulling it out before all my matches, but when i think about it, i dont really care.
tldr; Google drive is the way to go.
edit:
also, drive displayed everything in color as well. my nexus7 is the perfect size for viewing the document in landscape mode.
you really only need one of those links. the charts u linked are actually one document and they actually do have safe jump setups and ultra punishes in them. there are tabs at the bottom of the document that lets you change “pages” to view more information. and if you already knew this…sorry bout that, just helpin
If you’re looking for a quick-loading way of viewing the charts, then why not turn them into images. It’s not like the spreadsheets have any interactivity that you’re going to lose, and you don’t really need to be able to edit them on the road (because you’re presumable too busy playing in a tournament, etc.). It’d probably be more time consuming to update the images with new info, but not by much, and some of that stuff won’t change at all.
Hmm I dunno why I didn’t think of Google Drive. That shit is pretty clutch lol.
@Waffle: Safe jumps and ultra punishes are already on there. I assume Ibuki players are already familiar with her combos; super combos are no different. It’s only pertinent if it is character specific somehow and that we might have trouble remembering.
Things that Ibuki can punish would go along with matchup knowledge, and everything is in the matchup thread (not 100% accurate or thorough though) but in that case, what is really the best way to include this?
PDF is a decent idea, and images are basically the same thing, but ideally I wanted to maintain the “spreadsheet”-ness so that you can highlight a row or column and then just read horizontally/vertically for convenience. I see Google Drive takes care of this, so kudos to them.
The editing part is not necessary, but convenient for when you’re not at a tournament but you have some cool idea/stuff you want to add/fix/etc.
tl,dr Google Drive is teh winrar.
edit: I noticed on Google Drive that I’m able to “look past” the actual chart information. In other words, if you scroll too far to the right, you’ll run into the empty columns. To correct this, I simply deleted all of the empty columns.
With the one exception with EX Hien, because I am almost sure someone in the game can punish that on block. Maybe Ryu’s super? Frame data doesn’t say anything on block so I dunno.
edit2: deleted the empty rows as well. And condensed the Tsumuji Loop 2 page.
Are the tabs in any specific order or priority? i do wish there was a way for me to rearrange the tabs so that the few tabs i use are in the front (loopable + safejumpable + unblockalol). looking at the charts on your phone means you have to use those small left and right arrows to scroll through the tabs. however i think i can do that if i copy the shared doc to my drive to make it editable. ill have to try that.
The tabs are not in any specific order or priority, but that would probably be a good idea. I rearranged the tabs a bit to put the more important stuff first.
I dunno what arrows you are talking about, but for me at least, all of the “tabs” (really just sheet names with clickable links for some reason) are at the top, and it’s easy to see a bunch of them in widescreen mode (turn phone sideways). Also you shouldn’t need to press any buttons to scroll, just flick your finger.
It might just be because I have it set to offline mode though.
thats clutch. i think prioritizing the info is a step in the right direction.
as for the arrows, my n7 has the tabs on the bottom and has these little arrows on the right side that scrolls the tabs, but i never tried flicking until now, yup it works. also i just put drive on the iphone to try that out for s&g. works pretty good as well. tabs on the bottom and flick-scrollable, although no arrows. i think different devices have a different drive layout? my browser has the tabs on the bottom, but i swear not long ago, my browser had the tabs on the top.
It’s strange; perhaps it’s a connectivity thing? When I’m connected on wifi and view the chart, it shows the tabs on the bottom. But when I turn off wifi and view the chart offline, the sheet links are on top.
Maybe I should just change the sheet names to condensed names to fit more on the screen. Like “Tsumuji Loop” into “TsuLoop” or something.
I made a more condensed version of the docs and took screenshots and sorted them in my phone in a folder. Easy, fast and no need for internet. Sure I need to manually update but when it’s done it’s perfect for me.
The frame you are looking for should look something like this
Yes, you are looking for Ibuki’s neutral pose. You have to hit the s.LP exactly when Ibuki is free to move, aka, neutral pose, aka, 1 frame link.
If you have to time your jab differently and have to it the s.LP sometime during Ibuki’s recovery of her Tsumuji… what you have, my friend, is something that is commonly known as a “laggy monitor” or laggy TV for that matter. That means that you will have to be anticipating when to press the button to accommodate for the lag that your own TV is causing to hit that 1 frame link. If that’s the case, you have two options, get a good monitor and play Street Fighter in real time (makes 1 frame links soooo much easier). Or stay with your TV and get used to the lag. The problem with the second option is that if you ever decide to play in a tournament or something where they have really good monitors, you will not be able to adjust to the monitors in time to play the tournament, because you will be fighting this really strange lag, and fail, because there is no lag. I would know, it happened to me.
hi everyone i found an offer for AE pc version but before i buy it i just want to know does my madctaz te s works on pc normally or do i have to buy something to make the arcade work on my pc ??
This thread isn’t really the place to discuss this (try the Tech Talk subforum), but people have had mixed luck with TE sticks on PC. So you might be able to plug it in and play straight away, or you might have to search for some drivers, etc. Again, the people in Tech Talk can probably help you better.
