anyone experimenting with dash bomb loops? I think they’re the future for strider but I’m just a scrub lol. Gains fwd position for wave orb to make contact closer. If done right inescapable with damage potential on the screen. But pushblocks fuck it up horribly so ehhhh…
so the other day, I had a few minutes with strider and I spotted a new setup that changes on the screen. Anyway if the opponent is their side of the time clock, orbs hit rather early, throw the RH bomb, orbs are still going, dash fwd twice, c.fp, teleport
here it breaks up into a mixup. If you c.fp, teleport, DJ back over thats one direction for xup. If you c.fp, teleport, falling attack, you get a 2hit mixup behind the bomb. Funky shit happens with the helper tracking to. If you think they’ll call their helper, DJ over after c.fp, will make the assist track weird and in most cases get hit by the bomb and you can still call doom, c.fp, orbs again if wanted.
Didn’t mess with the setup all that much and you have to make sure you hit with the orbs @ a certain point in the timing. If there’s not enough time, you wont get the 2 dashes with orbs.
To some degree, i’ve been looking for a bomb setup after orbs that allows for a mixup and leaves strider safe still. This does that but its VERY restricted. In fact, imo its a stunt combo but I’m hoping it leads to somewhere else.
I like IM\strider\doom over the sentinel version. My IM is horrible but he’ll get better. CLACKWORK!
fyi, i tested striders instant overhead fullscreen, tag IM and it works. Timing is very awkward as you have to adjust the height and tag perfectly as the orbs come out to make up for the distancing. Essentially what this means is that 1 trap pattern with strider = a safe mixup that combo’s into death.

Also yeah I agree on the whole IM/strider/doom being a fun team lol. You can alot more flashy things plus Im’s assist always makes life abit easier.

Hey well me and my friends have started to play Marvel vs Capcom 2 and I need help okay my friend keeps spamming Sentinals rocket punch across the stage so how do I stop it?
Also I need help on working with me team and they are Strider/Doom/Sentinal
the only thing I need to learn is just how to do Striders teleport so can any one here help me?
Just block his rocket punch when you see it coming thats pretty much it, hell call doom while you block so he’s forced to block.
Teleport is reverse Dragon punch(D,B,DB)+any punch or kick button.
But depending on which button you press thats what part of the screen he’ll appear in, so if I RDP+LP he’ll appear at the top left of the screen, here’s a lil chart.
LP= top left HP= Top Right
LK= Bottom left HK= Bottom right

what do you guys think of strider/doom/storm?
I guess it’s fine, more combo potential I"d rather have storm on Point though for runaway so I can build meter than just combo and DHC for Strider, not to mention Doom/storm is also a really good team together. But than again, last I checked storm’s assist doesn’t really compliment strider that well.

Legion is just to spam the screen with stuffz, Ragnarok your gunna need an assist to combo into it like sent drones or doom rocks, and well with if you catch them with orbs just just LP/LK’s than at the end launch XX Magic series or go for a mixup.

You know what I notice about all these top Strider players? Your Sents sucks. This game has been out for almost 10 years now and I can’t remember any clockwork player really taking advantage of sent Refly combos. Now, don’t get mad, I don’t mean to offend anyone. I’m saying we should be working on Sent refly combos and unblockables a lot more. Strider needs meter to be effect, fact is, he usually doesn’t come in with more then 1(maybe 2) bar(s). Again, I’m not trying to offend anyone. I’m just saying we ALL need to take advantage of everything possible when playing S/S/D.
Edit: Maybe “suck” is too strong of a word to use. All top players know how to play sent to a certain degree, problem is, we aren’t playing sent to his fullest degree.
imo, sent\doom is trash. clock\amir both disagree with me but I find it very hard to stop refly sentinel and mag with invincible helper.
I don’t think it’s so much that their Sentinels suck as it is that Sentinel without a proper anti air is just complete and utter bait for anyone that knows how to properly rush down. There’s only so much you can do to out play a Sentinel with a solid AAA or a Mag/Storm with an assist that stops Doom-B. I’ve seen a couple people with solid Sentinels that just can’t over come the handicap that comes when you’re playing against someone that can beat out Doom-B.

Yeah, I know sent/ doom is kinda shitty, but instead of doing basic air combos, we should be doing the best possible combos. Any time doom pops anyone in the air(or u get them with S.HK) it should be refly combos, not 123 RP. This way, we get that bar and the damage.
