Hard as hell, yet fun. Um…where is Ryu’s Izuna and Ayane’s stomp drop? Don’t tell me you have to level up your weapon to perform that move. I’m used to it being available (since it’s a grab, not a weapon technique) like in ngs2: from the get-go.
Wow the demo is SO MUCH BETTER. They changed “Steel on Bone” to a counter attack that instant kills, you can only do it when an enemy does an huge commited attack(like some grapple stuff). Enemies are way more aggressive and evasive, those mage dudes are pretty damn tough too
Yeah, the mage dudes were kicking my ass for a good minute. I underestimated how many waves of enemies there were. What’s odd is that in Ayane’s section, you see their life bars but you don’t in Ryu’s. I opened with fully charged attack to RTSD on one of them. Each time they started to charge up, unleashed another. I noticed Ryu doesn’t recover as fast as I remember.
Ayane is mad fun too. No lie, the demo was getting on my nerves but that taste of victory is so damn sweet. Trademark of a good game.
Might have to do with when you first encounter them in the full game.
About his recovery, with the Talons, they added a new cancel, press Quick+Jump during any ground Quick attack and he’ll cancel to a spinning sweep with some invulnerability. This probably makes the Talons way more viable outside of just looking cool.
lol yeah, just hungry to get better.
I’m SO glad this game saves karma, totally going to farm points before the real game. Haven’t unlocked Kasumi yet but if Ayane is any indication it feels like they fleshed out the sub characters so I’m looking forward to trying her out.
I don’t think anyone knows yet. People have beaten the demo on every difficulty with both characters, as well as the challenges and still nothing so yeah.
Point taken, I’ve heard horror stories about the online conditions of NG3 Vanilla not to mention the tons of glitch videos floating around youtube.
Haven’t tried the NG3RE demo yet but I will after I finish getting gold on the MGR VR mission DLC. I’m already halfway, will attempt the rest tomorrow.
maybe kasumi is on some bayonetta soi fon shit, where you just have to play it a certain amount of times or hours to release it. where there any other time release, or play ng a certain amount of time releases in the previous versions?
I just don’t get how the enemy can take all these hits and keep coming at the same speed and without impairment. Their aggressiveness is a welcome upgrade, but half these fights with regular enemies shouldn’t even be this long. You can’t go all tank against edged weapons. In real life that shit would be back-to-back steel-on-bone in a crowd. You can’t take like 6 sword/tanto slashes to your head and neck and still be Parkouring all over the place like nothing happened.
Yeah, I remember playing Hayabusa’s part and being surprised at wave after wave that kept coming. I’ve Izuna Dropped enemies only to see them get right back up. As the rust worse though, and with a Lvl 2 sword, I threw out more UTs. That’s all I did time and time again. Always finding ways to lands UTs. Once I learn where enemies show up, maxed UT charge and ready to go… Too bad some won’t die after it.
I dunno what to think about the new healing setup. Hell, I honestly think it makes it harder until you can consistently pull off more Steel on bone kills. Because I can’t. I get a fair amount but I’m super aware of my health and enemy waves now. You know that “brink of death” feeling and hatred for having to start over pushing you to play better.
Well fuck. I’m getting bodied so hard by the first jobbers in the demo. I’m playing this game like I’m playing MGR (controls and gamestyle) and it’s not working out very well lol. So far, I’m liking this demo alot more than the previous one. I played 5 mins of vanilla and I just said fuck this garbage, I’m done. Atleast I’m having fun with this one and I’m definitely going to invest some more time later today.
But is it me or does Ryu feel a bit sluggish just walking around. I’m also having some issues with the camera. And who thought it was a good idea to have 400 RPGers EVERY goddamn fight. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s explosives in a hack n slash games. Fuck RPG’s in MGR, fuck RPG’s in this game and especially, fuck those explosive kunai’s in NG2. To me they don’t add much difficulty/depth to gameplay and are simply just annoying as fuck.
