I live nearby, so I went and checked this place out. It looks amazing.
When is this place the most packed? Cuz I only saw like 4 people.
always crowded on wed, fri, and saturday
Thinking about showing up to Big Two tonight. . .but for 2v2 SFEX3 matches lol. Pretty sure this is doable on a PS3 console, just need to confirm if people would show for this last minute and have a copy of EX3 available.
Hey everyone, in the spirit of fighting games, we are having a friendly arcade happy hour on May 11th at the Wix Lounge on W18th. We are bringing 3 games (SFxT, UMVC3, and SSBM). Food and drink included! Check the link and RSVP please, we have limited space!
Since people were talking about CF in here earlier (I think the old CF thread was locked?)…

I’m not sure if it’s going to be the same CF we knew and loved… I just hope they have plenty of SF cabs…
OMG HYPE. Here’s hoping for a ST cab too.
And I’m not sure if you are slightly delusional or just slow. But the newer cabs were ones that henry bought and they are all at Next Level. If you think this guy is gonna drop money on viewlex cabs you are in for a very sad surprise.
bring back that alpha 2 cabinet…WITH gold trims!!
Them niggas better have marvel, or imma be tight. The more news i hear, the more i think that they won’t have any of the good cabs we used to have. I went there today and saw the place in person, i don’t think it’s gonna be anywhere near close to the way it was before. Here’s hoping that i am wrong and they bring back the KOF98 machines. Hype ass matches, and the machine was almost always crowded.
Delusional or slow? What about “ignorant,” or “very cautiously optimistic”? The latter is in my estimation the closest to accurate, and a feeling I took action to convey to the discerning reader as I, oft disappointed dreamer of a better world, slowly pressed the period key three times, my hope fading away into the grey spring sky, warm but tarnished by clouds unseasonal in the presence of such would-be vernal news…
No, but seriously, don’t give a shit about what could be taken as an insult, but I didn’t specify SF4 cabs. I know those were the ones from CF, I played on them hundreds of times at both places and specifically asked who owned them back when the future of CF was in question and Next Level had been announced. I assume that the decrepit ST cab that was at CF when it closed was not a new, really expensive new Viewlix cab bought by Henry. I definitely haven’t seen it at Next Level.
Oh, and I had not noticed the atrocious pastel shit on the walls when I made that post.
…
So yeah, I hope they have any type of cabinet that is at least semi-functional for any of the games that brought all of us here…
What did you see when you swung by?
White bald men, but meh.
bet they play sfxtekken…
New resident to NYC, cant wait to check this place out.
Other than Next Level any other gamer/nerd hangouts in the city? Need to meet people, make friends, and find some people to practice with.
CTF is supposed to open again on may5. dont know what kind of cabinets or games they’ll have but I am going!:nunchuck:
If CTF opens up on May 5th, I’d go there on the way home from work every day and practice my ass off. I’d hit up Next Level, but thats a weekend thing, Brooklyn can be a trip.
Is it accessible by train?
EDIT: D train goes by there, and I live a few blocks away from one on 145th street. Hope to meet some cool people. NYCLAN was fun but it kind of felt like a clique in there. If I bring a stick, PS3 or 360?
Watch them not have CvS2.
You specially asked about SF cabs. Don’t kid yourself. When there was other games there you never played them. ST, nope. KOF, nope. CVS2, nope. A3, nope. Rumble Fish, nope. Want me to go on?
The rest of you need to clear the dust from your eyes as well and realize that CF will NOT, repeat NOT be the CF of before. All the games you never played before, well… no need to worry because they won’t be there now either. Stop thinking that it’s going to be what you remember, or to some of you… what you’ve heard.
