I was talking about the actually stick unscrewing from the base so there wouldn’t be a metal prod protruding from my bag. Excuse me if this is common knowledge to everyone else. I’m not up to par on “stick mechanics”. Why would I bring my laptop you ask? I have a ton of fighting games on my laptop basically most of the game that can be found on GGPO which if anyone wanted to play any of those all they would need is a stick. I’m sure NL doesn’t offer all of them then they could. Which also opens up opportunities to play other games at a competitive level. But besides that I kinda just want to take my stick with me so I can play where ever I take my laptop.
first of all, you would need to unscrew the bottom panel to remove it, thats at least 4 screws.
second, you need to unscrew the screw at the base of the stick for the balltop.
the balltop’s width is too big for it to be removed from the bottom due to the top panel’s plexiglass’s joystick hole being smaller in width than the balltop itself…
so thats gotta get unscrewed.
third. most cases have the screws for the joystick located on top of the case. that’s the surface of the top panel or as sometimes referred to the ‘control panel’…so now you have to unscrew the top panel’s plexiglass to get access to the joystick’s screws on the top of the case…
so thats 4 screws to unscrew of the bottom panel.
one screw to unscrew for the balltop.
4 screws for the plexiglass removal to get access to the joystick’s screws.
and 4 screws for the joystick itself.
in other words forget about unscrewing the joystick just to put it and laptop into your bookbag.
both should fit into your bag. depending on which stick you get. a hori tekken 5 stick is pretty heavy and big so are most rap horis…most sticks are big and heavy. but you may fit both arcade controller and laptop.
but just get a big bookbag.
that solves your dilemna.
put your laptop in first, put a thin blankie over it(to protect the laptop and controller from scraping each other up), then put your stick in.
the joystick isn’t gonna protrude too much. don’t worry about it.
no one will notice, and if a chick on the train sees cylinder shaped object protruding through your bookbag, just tell her your controller likes her alot.
oh yeah, henry has lots of games…the discs i mean. just ask him what game you wanna play, thats all. he should have anything/everything fighting game-wise.
Ok man that makes more sense to me now. Also I like your use of the word blankie .
What games would you guys like to play at NL. Would anyone be interested in playing some Samurai Shodown V or MvC: Clash of Superheros with me?
Not on the PS2 100% sure.
I can’t even tell if you’re trolling.
He’s saying that people would not play MvC2 on a PS2. They already have MvC2 on the 360s anyway if you want to play that :\
A well that makes a bit more sense now -__-
Silly me
Just thought id put a raffle up here were doing to help our team for EVO, some cool stuff to win

Dose anybody go to NL on weekdays or is it only worth going on weekends. I’m aware that the biggest crowed comes on the weekends but unfortunatly I work on weekends. So I was thinking of going today to check it out but I don’t know if it will be worth it if there is almost no one there.
clue me in on the problem with mvc2 ps2…now i know that dreamcast is the best console for fighters since its has a high rate of getting fighters arcade perfect,
but didn’t everyone say that the ps3 / 360 versions of mvc2 was glitchy as hell???
We prefer it to be on dreamcast
Dreamcast Version is almost like the same as the Sega Naomi Arcade Version.
PS2 and original Xbox, I don’t know.
Edit: Who can dual mod a Madcatz SE or TE to make it PS2 Compatible?
If there’s one, how much that person charges?
Matches upped from last skillionaire event. Thanks to Cen for letting us run this poverty at NLA again.
Can someone please bring a copy of MBAA tomorrow, I need to get my anime on. Also I’ll bring AH3.
yeah man…
that solves issues with AH3 being on 360.
i play ah on ps3 pad and i dunno how to play ah3 on stick yet…
this ah3 on 360 doesn’t work out for most ah people since it brings up a problem with pad players.
if i go tommorrow…i’ll bring mbaa.
if i can make it.
Lol, I bought that converter when it was only available on focalprice.com and it took a month to arrive.
Chinese Chess and American Chess available for play at Next Level. Get bodied!
Yes, we do that for 100 which includes all parts and labor. PS2/Xbox 360/PS3/Dreamcast compatible.
We have PS2 controllers with adapters for them to work on Xbox 360 and PS3. So that IS NOT a problem for pad players.
There are 6 Linked AE cabinets at Next Level. We also have new Wii setups as well.
Please make requests for additional games/activities and we’ll see what we can do.
