Thanks alot guys for running the fundraiser for Quotes’s Laptop. Good seeing everyone and good games.
oh yeah and fuck Mr.SNK. Seriously.
Are you the “white knight” of this thread? Because if so I’m sure your energy could be best used elsewhere instead of complaining about what other people complain about. How condescending can you be?
you sound like you don’t go out much
team hate represent
I can’t wait to try to get my ass out to NL one of these weekends with a crew. Unfortunately I’m working on weekends and still need to save up to get a stick that will play on 360 and Ps3 (I don’t have the funds to get a sweet custom one or anything like that), but I should be out there before summer’s end
I feel you. I’m in the same boat man so you’re not alone :3
You went, damn I would have showed up to play casuals at least & I travel almost two hours to get to NL but I don’t complain, I just show up.
I’m probably going to be in Brooklyn at some point next week and would love to visit Next Level. Is there any place to park a car that won’t cost me a lot and/or isn’t that far away from the location or am I looking at whatever curbside options exist near this place? Public transit is probably not an option for me.
Also, is there anyone that plays SF2 games that comes through that isn’t named Henry Cen? Just curious.
I find that curbside parking is shit in this neighborhood…after 8. Frequently I have to circle for 20 minutes before I get one. Get there early and you shouldn’t have too much problems. No car parks close.
On another note, I wish HDR got burn at NL (mk9 too, lol) but there is definitely some folks that play sf2. Thing is it may not always be ST. Hehehe
now a days you should consider getting a ps2 stick. then you can just get converters for ps3 and xbox360. I say NOW because a lagfree xbox converter recently came out. you can buy it from laugh / www.etokki.com
Id hurry the fuk up and snag a pair before they are discontinued or gets sued by M$ or some shit  lol
Don’t know about that SF2 Koryu
Anyone else hype to watch the SBO qualifiers at NL?
Um, I think that people would prefer to play.
As long as I have a chair to play KOF13 and Tekken 6, I really don’t care what happens in the SBO qualifiers.
And as for the travel distance, yeah, it sucks that it’s so far away from me since I live in Yonkers. Which is why I only get out there once a week if my work schedule even allows it. But when I do, I usually just drive there which usually takes me a good 30-40 minutes drive. And as someone said before, as long as you get there during the day time, parking is no problem at all.
Ya I would also prefer to play, but my skills are aren’t where they should be. If you can play and do well more power to you.
NiteWalker sells 8 button layout wood cases for 100 bucks, shipping is free.
he makes 8 button layout cases now, thx 2 me;), cuz i needed one and he customized his 6 button design for me. he doesn’t make cases out of mdf anymore. now he uses either poplar or birthwood.
they are good cases.
sturdy as hell.
he doesn’t do modding. just cases.
i would say 200 bucks.
100 for case and maybe 100 for parts+modding from someone else…if you are lucky.
i mean if.
it can run you to about 250.
dual modded without a wood case i’d say 150-200 fo sure.
i recommend wood cases cuz the are lighter, sleeker, and just better looking than plastic plus its just more cozy on your lap…than factory metal+plastic sticks.
and the wood warms up your lap like your big bootied stripper in da VIP room.
as opposed to metal+plastic case that stays cold on your lap like a corpse.
shit doesn’t wanna absorb your body heat for some reason. your lap ends up frigid as ice.
Ok, thanks for the info. Does the joystick screw off? Because I play AE on my laptop and it would be perfect if it did so I could fit it in the bag with my laptop.
btw, i have marvel vs capcom 2 for ps2 disc.
whats the consensus for mvc2 being added to skillionare tourneys in the future?
are people interested?
or not?
what do you mean by “does the joystick screw off”???
ALL joysticks on either wood cases or factory manufactured sticks can be screwed off.
If you are referring to the joystick part itself ON a arcade case.
and why take your stick apart? everything fits in a book bag. case and laptop and what not.
there are 4 AE arcade machines at next level, for a quarter to play…why take the game/laptop with you to play there?
just dump a quarter into the slot and enjoy the random competition.
