that avatar i’ve had laying around, and that sig hasn’t been changed in about 2 weeks or so. before i had even read that post i had changed it to a spiderman avatar for about… an hour or so… before that it was a white magneto… but the post reminded me that i had an unused blackheart avatar laying around somewhere
but yeah, i use servbot/blackheart/ (samurai / doom) on the occassion, but i like samurai more than doom
LA to LS on PS2
How do ppl do this on PS2 controller?? It’s hard to try to press lk and fp then cancel that to a hcf + PP. Or do ppl just not use this LA XX LS on PS2?
I play on PS2 all the time.
It just takes practice. I only have a pad at home and I always play like it’s an arcade layout. Meaning: I use my index and middle finger to press the buttons, and use my ring finger for the R1/R2 assists. I don’t use my thumb at all.
I can do fast fly with sent and majority of all storm combos except for sj. inf. all on pad. It just takes getting used to I guess.
what the other guy that posted is true however if it still doesn’t work for ya try the wierdest button layout… mine! the punch n kick buttons remain the same… R1=assist-b R2=lk(yes lk ) L1=lp+hp(for easy as hell tri-jumps) L2=assist-A(this may feel wierd but you get used to it) can’t do la-ls? just press
R2+triangle n presto! also another way (i use this on DC ) when doing the air combo after the mk quickly press all 4 buttons withyour thumb n la should come out easy! hope this helps !
What is the timing on the lightning attack XX lightning storm air combo??
I try to do the air combo ending with LS super, but I don’t know when you should cancel into the super during the the lightning attack. Would it be easier to do two lightning attacks (forward and up-forward) or just one? Thanks
practice should answer your timing question. I use one LA but I play on a pad
Two lighting attacks, attempt the super right after the two button presses for lighting attack.
LA XX LS combo on dreamcast controller?
Are you guys able to pull off the storm LA XX LS combo consistently on the dreamcast standard controller? How do you do it on the dremcast controller, it’s hard for me because the lk and hp buttons are not next to each other, the buttons aren’t layed out the same is in the arcade, which is easier. Thanks
I can pull it out consistently on the dreamcast pad, it just takes some getting used to. I don’t suggest ever getting used to pad unless your already used to stick though.
easiest way to do it is once u do the LA it gives u bout a sec. so i do 2 cuz im comfortbale w/it but yea wen u end the lighting attack automatically do the LS then it cancels into it pretty good and for da dreamcast i’d suggest u play ur lp hp lk hk with ur index and middle finger and to call out ur assist use ur ring finger thats wat i do aight hope this helps 
Yeah, probably the best thing to do is to start playing with your index finger and middle finger on the main four buttons and then have your assists as L1 and L2 and use your left index and middle for that so you can still use your thumb on the pad.

The way to use LA>LS on Ps2 controller: Get L1 and R1 as assist 1 and assist 2. L2 and R2 as dashes (P+P). Then take into consideration the simplicity of this combo. FK(launches) Lp, Lk, Mp, Mk, Lightkick+R2(lightning attack)x2, dcf R2 (lightning storm).

Lol, I used to play on the PS2 controller with my thumb. I just pressed all four face buttons and the LA came out like 70-80-% of the time.
With the default controls, while in the air (which is usually when you want to LAxxLS) press X + R1 and you should LA every time. If you are on the ground and press X + R1 you will call in your second character…
Storm tri-jump question
Ok first off, I’m not a complete n00b. I can tri-jump very well wtih Magneto, I can tri with Rh and lk, I can ROM, etc etc. So I’m not a noob for the most part.
Now, I just can’t get the tri-jump with lk for storm down. I’m confused how it’s supposed to be done. Is the second lk supposed to still be in the air, or when I’ve hit the ground. In videos I always see tj.lk, c.lk, but it DOESN"T connect for me. What am I doing wrong? They just block the c.lk. Am I not doing it right? Is it supposed to be a s.lk? Should the second lk be still in the middle of the tri-jump? Sheesh it’s driving me nuts, and is the only reason I don’t have a good rushdown storm. Thanks.

I know the answer to your question, I believe. If you SUPER jump, and then ad df lk, mk, the medium kick wont come out. BUT! If you jump, like a regular jumping motion, then ad df, lk, mk, it will give you more time. Not to add that yolu can also HOLD UP right after you ad df to make you stay in the air longer. tj is tri-jump. I WANT to be super-jumping. I don’t want to do a normal jump. And I know it IS possible to get the mk in the air, but it’s sort of hard cuz it’s so fast, and in videos they never have to. They do one lk in the air, then do a c.lk, and it always connects.
