resets = resetting the combo, by starting a new one… but doing so in which it’s hard to block. example of storm reset…

launcher, sj, lk, lk, lightening attack d/f, lightening attack u/f, (reset), xx Lightening storm. the combo resets, and you can block, but unless you already predicted the combo to reset and go to the other side, and are holding forwards, you wont’ block it

magic series is the normal sequence of attacks in order… LP, LK, LP, LK, HP, HK

Generally… How do u use storm?

I am not very good with storm yet coz I am too used to play cable… I always turtles and that does no good with storm… I know I have to rush my opponent down but how? should I tri jump behind them? or dash behind when they jump up? Exactly how do u set up your launch with storm? Can some one please help me ><?

there’s a lot of ways to play storm…

generally, you’re going to rush when yuo’re losing, and run when you’re winning

rushdown is about tri jumping with lk, lk, dashing with c.lk, and mixing the whole thing up. if they jump, get udner them, and tri jump from the other side, you can mix it up and dash over, land, and then go up / down with lk. there’s a lot of ways, whatever you’re most comfortable doing, and what you think your opponent will have a hard time blocking. remember, same goes for magneto, but simple shit usually works better than advanced stuff

for her runaway, you’re going to fly a lot. sj,hp, addb, hp, etc… fly up, throw vertical typhoons down (which is a real old school tactic), and stay safe. don’t fly a lot if they have a blackheart assist and don’t go over them a lot if they have commando

for getting a launcher, the most common setups…

tj.lk, lk, land, c.lk, launcher
c.lk, launcher
(as opponent is coming in), sj, lk, add, jab(whiff) (guardbreak), launcher

there’s other ways, but those are the most common. you can ever spam her s.hk from full distance, and it’s safe. her s.hk is one of the safest normals in the game, not to mention its priority is sick

Thx dude… but i got some other questions… like sometimes… I can’t block against magneto… I was holding back down… but he can still manage to hit me and chain a load of combo on me… I have a question… How Do I block those? he didn’t jump to my back… so weird… he manage to do it with a psy assist… and one more questions… I play sent/storm/cyke … so is there any combo storm or sentinel can do with cyke?

blocking against magneot just takes practice. he doesn’t have to jump. he probably just did some fast tri jumps on you. block just back

as for storm / cyclops and sent/cyclops… there’s plenty

basic ones with storm / cyke

  • clk + call, cyke, c.hk, sj, adf, LAx2 xx LS
  • clk, s.hk, call cyke, sj, hp, adf, lk, lk, LAx2 xx LS

build off of those two

sent / cyke

  • launcher, call cyke, sj, hp, dp rp, optic shot hits, rp
  • launcher, sj, lk, fly, lk + call cyke, hp, cyke hits, lprp, shot hits, dprp

build off of those… just try different things out. it’s better to get basics down and then figure out better combos on your own. it’ll help you get the timing and feel for them down a lot better

Thank you very much so far… and I got a few more question… Should I use guardpush if magneto start going insane on me? like should I use guardpush while I block… what is the advantage of using guardpush and what is the disadvantage? and then… i need some tips to how to block against some really fast character…

the disadvantage is you could guard break yourself, or get caught in the freeze state. if you do it right, however, you can get a rushing magneto off of you, and you can guard cancel, which let’s you jump out of block stun. you’ll have to figure the timing out yourself, since everybody plays magneot differently.

noob question: answer at your own risk

for some reason every time i try the c.lk, s.mk, s.hk, …, the s.mk always comes out as a c.mk and the s.hk knocks down the opponent. i usually learn combos fast but for some reason this doesent come out right. help? or am i just to f***in slow

  1. let go of down as soon as the c.lk comes out.
  2. if not, then do clk, cjab, shk
  3. you don’t have to cross out the word “fuckin” on this site…

nice av where u get it? sry to go off topic. im gettin the combo now and im doin pretty good with my santhrax now. i love the c.lk c.lp s.hk sj magic series LAxxLs dhc hsf s.hpxxrpxxhsf repeat

waffle monkey, instead of you repeating the hsf after you dhc, just dash in and launch and do whatever you want… learn the 100 percent kill which is almost exactly like that and you wont have to waste those extra meters repeating the hsf.

Nothing better then a RUNAWAY STORM, then when your coming down lighting attack there asses as they try to superjump and catch ya, heheeh.

I mainly play run away with storm, I cant rush down as good for some reason with her.

if you can’t rush and run with storm… don’t play her until you learn how to. both are essential, or else your storm is just cake… you want to run, i’ll spam scimiatars and inferno’s all day.
