i practiced storm’s semi infinite first. her j.ad df, quickly hold up, lk, mk, hp repeat. Try that until u master it then try the super jump, its harder.
I don’t have the game, so I don’t have practice mode. Hence, I don’t have time for intermediary steps. Plus, I can do the tri-jump, as fast or slow as need be. I just need to know HOW to do it, and I can pick it up real fast.
Oh you mean how to tri jump physically? I use the slide method, but I’m not sure of what you mean if u can with mag. The same way you would mag right? Just try holding up right after
No, I can DO the tri-jump. I can do it pretty well, too. My problem is, I’m not connecting with my hits for Storm. So obviously I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know what it is.
Well I wouldn’t recommend getting in the medium kick, her lk should do enough stunf to combo off of when you land. Her lk is what I use all the time, with some hp’s for distance and range. But, if you use the medium kick and try to do launch. sj. hkxxad f lk, mk LAxxLS after the hk will cause flying screen, thats with the mk added. If you want to tri jump in and rush them down I recommend the hp, its the quickest and beats out alot of things. The only time I recommend you using the mk is for the infinite on a crouching sentinel, standing cable-sized characters. That one goes j. ad df, quickly hold up, lk, mk, hp, land repeat.
Well, I’m not worried about the flying screen, because i don’t do the sj. hkxxad f lk, mk. I do the regular magic series. But I konw that the lk is supposed to stun them long enough to combo off, but it DOESN"T when I do it. That’s my whole question. Do you have any idea why it wouldn’t stun them long enough? Am I not tri-jumping fast enough, or what? Is my timing off?
Well maybe your tri jump isnt landing as fast, at least thats what I can picture, if an assist is in the way thats another problem. Maybe sometimes you are out of range when the next c.lk or c.lp is let out. Try dashing in and then > the c.lk > whatever.
No assist. My friend’s Cable can be standing right there. I can do a tri-jump, and he won’t expect it cuz he sucks. My first lk hits. Then when I do the c.lk to continue my combo, he blocks it. Pisses the hell out of me.
If you have trouble with the lk try tri jumping with the hk until you get quicker then try the lk. The hk gives you plenty of time to react
problem with my hk is that since it’s harder for me to tri with the hk, after it connects, i’m too far away from them to do anything else.
How fast can you dash and do a c.lk until your close to your opponent? Try that, otherwise just go for the c.hk sj. ad uf, lk, mk, LAxxLS which does pretty good damage.

i also recommend you use the “claw” motion. Which is your point finger and middle finger on lp and hp button, while holding your thumb on the lk. Just regualar jump and hit those three at the same time while holding your joystick in the down direction. :tup:
I do use claw. I ROM and tri with claw. I even tri with hk with claw, as awkward as it is.
I used to have that same problem with storm but backwards. I used to always do ad.lk land lk while i was trying to do ad.lk,mk. I think that you are just doing the ad.df lk to early so you are giving your opponent enough time to get out of hit stun before you can land and do the s.lk. I understand how frustrating it is to learn Storm’s rushdown after learnig Mag’s. They are definitely not the same. Good luck.
either do ad.d lk or make sure when you do it, you ad quickly after you sj so you’re really low to the ground.
