once you hold upfwd for the lk, you should hold dwnfwd to get as far away from upfwd as possible. It’ll prevent less mistakes.
Going from upfwd to only fwd is a sliver of an input and you can easily fuck up. Its really hard to fuck up dwnfwd and if you do mess it up, you’ll never accidently fuck up with upfwd which can kill you. For the most part its personal preference but i’ve seen many players fuck up the infinite because they like to hold fwd. The players who tend to hold dwnfwd fuck up less from what i’ve seen. Granted, that if you practiced it all the time it wouldn’t matter what direction you held but holding dwnfwd is just flat out safer and more consistent imo.
random strom knowledge:
don’t know if this is known but when you call your assists and they leave the screen, your assist will jump out. When storm jumps up as the assist is going out and they cross paths, the assist will cover storm but when you try this with magneto, the assist goes behind his sprite. Pretty weird but thats marvel for ya.
in conjunction with the proper assists, storm can use that glitch to her advantage after fs. Basically, you want the assist to be leaving as storm tries an xup from her FP FS, so the assist sprite will cover her and your mixup attempt will be somewhat hidden behind your assists sprite.
ontop of storm being hidden, your assists is leaving in one direction while storm is coming in from another. So your eyes will focus on one point to watch storm then storm and her assist will move seperate directions. It’ll fuck w\ your eyes if your not used to it when done right.
I use forward because when I use df I sj sometimes. It’s easy to tell the directions on a square gate, anyway.

What are some strats against Sentinel w/ Commando? From watching videos everyone justs tries to build as much meter and catch Sentinel in the air with a short and then magic DHC and finish it off. And also punishing the HSF by floating and then doing infinite when last set of drones go by.
Well u wanna stay away from sentinal as good as possible but @ the same time rush em down. Like go in put pressure then when u know commandos coming either wait and punish or bait him out thinking ur goina punish. But if sent doesnt have unfly rain on that bitch.

B&B combos with storm? I’m running with Storm/Sent/Cable just to learn how to play those guys. The only thing I know how to do with storm is trijump lk, c. lk c. lk, launcher, magic series LAxxLS xx HSF. But thats the only thing I know how to do with storm… that and run away and build meter.
What combos should I be practicing that dont invole DHCs and maybe dont involve supers that I can use for meter/damage?
tj.lk c.lk c.mp c.hk ^ aduf sj.lk sj.mp sj.mk LAx2 xx LS for better range than with s.hk, replace tj.lk with tj.hk for even more range (but you sacrifice a bit of speed)

When you do LAx2, try to stay away from doing it uf both times. Sometimes they recover before LS hits them. I like f, u, or f, uf.

In videos I see people with storm to j.fp then airdash then fp before they hit the ground.
Whats the specifics involved in that? Is it just j.fp ad.back j.fp then land?

i saw a combo of storm that goes like this:
launch, sj lp lk mp mk, ad uf, lp lk mp mk xx la la ls
i tried to do this combo but the opponent keeps falling after my ad uf…

where do you dhc into hsf?
most of the time, i miss the whole hsf…
some times, it hits but if i follow it up with a s.hk, opponent falls to the ground & my air combo is screwed…
i noticed some vids that they dhc hsf if opponent is on storms feet level during ls but i can’t seem to pull it out right…
You have to cancel the dash with sj.lp really really fast. Also, you have to do the first sj.lp (after launch) ASAP.
