oh?? i didn’t know this was possible… and yeah, based from what was mentioned above, as soon as the screen flashes. is this possible even for backdashes?

how does a timed hit beat a glitced hit, doenst a glitched hit come out ASAP.

and if someone has a slow dash, would it be possible for them to get hit if they try and backdash from the start

I’m guessing he meant that a well-timed non-glitched fast attack like Mag’s c.lk could beat out Storm’s glitched c.lp/lk.

Also, why would you ever want to start with Storm’s c.lk?

yeah. i get it now…

it wasnt me… i’d rather do a glitched backdash on storm or jumping straight up and block when facing against a mag who plans on doing a glitched c.lk

hmm whats the best storm combos (most practical and hopefully doesn’t take lot of technical skills or reflex to do it…)

1.) Air to air combo situation.
2.) After crouching fierce.
3.) after down-forward hk.
4.) after standing hk.
5.) air to ground.

1.) lk, lk, LA xx LS
2.) a) typical magic series, LA xx LS
b) hp, addf, hp sets you up real nice for mixups
3.) air dash u/f, lk, lk, LA xx LS
4.) a.) hk, air dash foward, lk, lp, LA xx LS (close launch)
b.) typical magic series, LA xx LS
5.) what do you mean air to ground?

air to ground means your coming from the air and opponent is grounded…

5.) mix it up between tri-lk’s, and floating lk, hp, hk’s
-once you get that hit, its really your choice what you want to do.

well i guess technically that is true but normally i think ppl refer that to a “jump in attack”

what i thought u were talking about was when u combo someone in the air and then u touch the ground and continue comboing them.

prime examples are ironman and war machine, u can get hit in the air and through the unfly infinite make it to the ground where ironman lands and then goes into his ground infinite and the whole thing combos.

I seen a few sent’s conect like a lk/lp, mk/mp in the corner while in the air and land and jump back up and do like a magic series unfly etc. and it comboes.

if u have mags and get a sj.hk and ur low enough u could set up a rom or do like a MG XX HT and land and try and rom.

if can call assists in the air u could probably set up some comboes with an assist.

i tried for like half an hour to figure out a Rom variation that i could at least pull off one friggin Repetition and i couldn’t connect anything after the ad/df

i tried calling psylock and going straight into the finite or doing a launch hp ad/df lk lk and landing and super jumping back up to see if anything connects and i couldn’t get anything but i know it has to be possible cuz i heard ppl say how if u try and Rom with storm her lk doesnt keep them low enough which means ppl tried this and were able to get like 1 rep at least and then gave up .

i have a question, if it possible to super jump cancel a c.lp like

c.lk c.lp SJC ad/df hk land s.hk air combo or

c.lk c.lp SJC ad/df hk dash in c.lk c.lp SJC ad/df hk …

If it was, it would be impractical.

technically that would be a c.mp, and i’m not sure if its SJC’able. i forget which one (could be both) but one of storms crouching light normals is SJC’able.

I could be wrong, but even if a c.mp can be SJC, i dont think a tri-hk would land. why? because i dont think they would be left in hitstun for long enough. With the initial SJ you need to delay a little before the airdash otherwise the HK will whiff. For that reason alone I dont think a HK would be possible. Definitely impossible off a light normal. The only use I would see in it wouldnt be for a combo, but more for a reset (a risky one at that)

On the otherhand, its possible to cancel a crouching light in to a sj.lk.

you can SJC her cr.mk, in training mode pick storm and go against sent, and do cr.lk, cr.mk xx SJC xx addf lk and it connects.

no, a glitched Mag cr.lk can lose to a well timed mag cr.lk

but c.mk is rollable so no point in using it.

and doesnt a glitched move come out ASAP so all u could possible do manually against it is trade hits. and that is if u have computer like timing.

the thing is that magneto’s c.lk comes out in one frame, so unless you’re dealing wtih a 1 frame move, magneto is almost always going to trade hits or win with the c.lk. so jumping straight up is probably you’re best bet. just dont get predictable or you’ll get guard broken

do you make storm float when doing inf on sent or you just do a normal jump? it’s the j.lk, lk, hp, hk inf…
