dashing after hsf
i’m having trouble dashing after HSF
Is it based on timing or is there soome other way to do this?
tap foward twice right after the 3rd set of drones hit. tap down+pp again to cancel the dash and do another
people actually rush with forward forward? I think PP is much easier
I do on the controller, but on the aracde/MAS stick I tap foward twice, once, then use PP after.
i have to do forwardx2 cuz sumtimes i dont hit PP right and do a hp but dats jus me. even if i hit down+PP i still end up doin it…
Eh they both work. If I’m gonna dash into launch, I use FF since it’s less likely I’ll screw it up, and the timing isn’t very hard; but if I’m gonna dash into c.HP I’ll use PP cause the dash comes out a little faster that way and I need the extra time to land the hit reliably. But in either case they both work fine if that’s what you’re used to.
I could never follow up after hsf until i switched to FF.

my sent has no feul left for flight mode… can’t even wave dash… no feul… can barely make his rocket punch come out.
i just hit both…
rp, hsf, f+pp, f, launcher, or c.spit w/e
donig both is like pianoing the buttons in TS when cancelling into a super. same principle… get more inputs for the same price. dont’ hit the PP on the second F though, cuz you’ll dash spit.

When you sj. and your opponent follows at a safe distance (almost half-screen) do a sj. lk and then if it hits, go for the fast-fly.
Super jumping with fp is still good. It’ll beat or trade with just about anything.
His fp beams are good against Mags and Storm for whenever they’re tri-jumping away from you. FYI, only the crouching fp is unblockable. Make sure to use flight mode with them, so you can bait out shit and other stuff.
Try to not let Mags get under you when you’re flying. That’s bad for you and a free infinite for him.
I like using his fk stomp against Cable, but I don’t know if that’s best against Cable. If you’re close, sj. lp is damn good. This is definitely the toughest matchup for Sent. Be patient and the Cable player is bound to fuck up or become predictable.
Rocket punches can knock down other Sents. Use sparingly.
Super armor does wonders against rushdown.
His lk drones are alright for lockdown, especially with a good assist like Mags-A. That’s a good assist, period.
Don’t forget about lp and sj. lp. It’s good.
Learn the unblockable so you can get a free combo whenever you kill a character.
Make sure you have unfly if you’re trying to bait out shit like AHVBs or Hail. I CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH!
Cyke AAA - Can ff off it, but it’s mostly for defense. REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Better invincibility.
Commando AAA - High damage, full vertical height, and the best assist for ffs. This assist is a lot harder for me to get through. Sent/Capcom owns me badly at the moment.
Learn how and when to use Sent’s normals. They’re all good. Learn some strings to combo into HSF, too. After like 2, though, the damage is killed, unless it’s an assist. But a lot of people can pushblock/sj. out of it, so I don’t know…

uhmm my original time was cable iron man and psylock. I noticed everytime i went against scrub and santhrax id get RAPED!!! but anyways well i changed to doom and that helped a little… i got through storms and mags, but i couldnt get through sent. I f***ed around and chose sentinel with projectile asst. i dont know how to use sentinel but like i did alot better against teams like scrubs and Santhrax. but i still need to learn more with sentinal. i cant move as fast as other people do with him… anyone out there nice enough to lend me a hand with sent and show me a few combos???
with sent your gonna be in flight mode for like 80% of the match, unfly gives sent most of his speed. best advice i have is use teams like thrax and scrub with sent on point til you get the feel of usin him. combo wise learn fast flys, theres a thread around on how to do those, but ff tapping after flight should become reflex so your sent doesnt sit for a sec when you fly. sent fights every char differently so watch some vids or practice to see what works for ya
aight it all depends on who he uses, im not the best sent player but i can pull sum tricks out of my ass… But anyways focus on strategy not combos once ur sent is so good ur launcher will b godly. make ur opponents fear ur sent. especially with cable. do not i reapeat DO NOT let him hit u with his guns. unless u have unfly mode to bait him out. but anyway tell us ur team and who u have trouble with and we’ll help you out.
even with unfly those ahvbs arent easy to bait on someone competent. and you have maybe a .3 second window, if that, to unfly if you see that gun shot comin. if they just ahvb you in the face you should hope you have esp or somethin cuz that 1 frame start up isnt much to reflex off of hehe. all together i try to not be on the same level as cable, if hes above me ill fly down and vice versa. easiest thing to do is just hold up forward and cable cant shoot you of you get right on him. just unfly if he jumps hehe thats simplest
yea sumtimes i cant even block that with unfly mode i get it like idk 6/10 times but w/e but yea i still need to know ur team to help u out wit start wit ss/cammy or santhrax IMO those r the 2 easiest sent teams
