Why should he have to appreciate an arcade he has never been to and probably has no intention of ever going to? Sure the manager was good, and I give him props, but you’re forcing it on everybody while simultaneously insulting all other arcades. He has every right to insult your arcade since its the one thing you seem to be passionate about, as it seems to be the only thing he can flame that gets you worked up enough to entertain him with your idiotic posts. You’re lucky Pui stepped in and said to not even associate you with LG or I’d be bashing it now too, despite how good it was.
Have you actually been to orbit recently? The guy is ALWAYS there to fix sticks, since they now gave the change guy keys and allow him to do so. He may be less knowledgeable but at least there’s always a tech on-site now. Not to mention it is at the very least on par with loveghetty based on location alone. Before you go bashing an arcade that you’re never at you should at least know the facts.
"Maybe you all need to play some more time shoulder to shoulder standing up for a few hours playing on american sticks downtown. "
And this is the most uninformed statement I have ever heard. For many of us, this is the most enjoyable way to play. Not only did half of the crowd learn on american sticks and most likely play better on american sticks, but the aspect of standing next to your opponent is the classic definition of the arcade fighting game. There’s nothing better than being able to turn your head and talk trash on the opponent mid game. . . And there’s the whole aspect of being able to hear the inputs from them as well.
Don’t bash what you don’t understand. I’d rather play on an american cab over a jap cab any day, and I’m sure every single person from Sauga/hamilton/brampton/downtown/STC would agree as well.
“Respect my motherfucking arcade, end discussion.”
You don’t get to say that, because you weren’t even part of the scene during the height of the arcade scene. You should learn to respect any arcade with enough balls and money to stay open right now, and since you don’t have that respect you can’t say ‘end discussion’ like you’re someone special.
In case you didn’t understand that point still, here’s a metaphor that might help you. Picture all those idiots who say ‘case closed’ after they think they’ve won an argument, assuming that simply saying ‘case closed’ means that they’ve won, but in reality all that happened was they’ve left themselves out to dry since they’ve clearly showed that they have no more facts on which to form an argument. That’s what you did, but normally people who say case closed actually do so with some understanding of the other side. You don’t even have a clue what you’re talking about and yet you think you can end the conversation by being an elitist prick and saying ‘end discussion’ without even researching the other side. Learn the facts before you run around forcing your beliefs down other people’s throats.
PS - No matter how good your arcade is, 95% of people would rather play on console, and when you get your head around this concept you might learn to respect every arcade that is open right now instead of bashing the rest and trying to single out just one.

"If the Marvel players didn’t show at all and the cab got no use, thus wasting his time and money, you have an arguement. "
I don’t even think this is true. If no marvel players showed up there wouldn’t even be a problem. Tournaments are an open invitation for competition to show up. If people don’t show up its not out of disrespect or spite for the arcade owner, its because the scene would rather spend time doing something else or playing casual for free than do a tournament. Just because the arcade owner ‘went out of his way’ to fix the machine doesn’t mean we’re somehow obliged to return the favour by pouring quarters into his cabinet. That’s some pretty terrible logic. He fixed the machine in the hopes of drawing in competition and business, there’s no other way around this. The fact that you would even go out of your way to insult both the Marvel and CvS2 communities out of duty to your arcade doesn’t even make logical sense.
Did this manager do something personally for you? Has he done anything but what was best for business? You don’t owe him anything and we don’t owe anything to him. You’ve got some nerve coming out and saying we’ve disrespected him when the underlying mindset from a manger isn’t happiness and competition, but quarters going into machines.
You’re lucky Pui is posting enough positive stuff to give your arcade some respect, because if anybody was to see any post of yours as being representative of the loveghetty community I doubt it would ever get respect.
