My criticism got side tracked in the thoughts about your community disrespecting the management to the only good arcade in the GTA. Marvel has some pretty interesting things and so does CvS2.
Asking someone to do something for you so that you can hold an event that is for your own pleasure and then not even holding that event is a slap in the face to the management and no matter if it was economically better for LG to fix the sticks doesnt matter. On principle, it was a bitch move.
Its possible that this point still isnt coming across so maybe a metaphor will help you all. Imagine a friend asks you to rent a moving van for jan 1st, however on the day of the move you shows up to his place and he says na im not gonna move this month maybe next month. But by renting this van some event is set into motion that is actually good for you. **On principle, reguardless **of how positive that event is, IT WAS A BITCH MOVE.

Buttons/sticks were fixed when requested instead of waiting for half an hour “for a technician to come” or just putting tape over the coin slot, coin issues were refunded with credits, tournaments went through smoothly, extra outlets are provided for people with cams/laptops who needs it to record matches.
I dont see why you call this place which actually helps players run tournaments as quickly as possible and provide what they need a “shit hole arcade”.
You can flame CC all you want, but leave your issues with him separate from LG

On a side note, the manager told me he was impressed/suprised that CvS2 and MvC2 had skilled players (i guess seeing 100 hit combos from A groove on cvs2 and AHVB x3 on MVC2 was a breakthrough for him). Same with arcana heart as he saw new faces who knew how to play the game (justin, gerjay, bill).
Then we proceeded to have a small chat about what games are mostly played at tourneys and i also told him how to read tourney brackets and general rundown of a tourney. Pretty cool that he has an interest in tournaments.
Oh, and he also asked that if we were holding a tourney next time (if there is one), whether it would be possible to post like notices around his place or something about a tournament happening. Apparently he had a few third strike regulars tell him that they have no idea about the tourney (no srk for them i guess) and they came just to see that the 3s tourney took all 3 cabs and wouldnt accept new entrants (i think the 16 bracket were full or the tourney started) so they came all the way there to play 3s but ended up doing nothing but watch for a few hours.
Anyway, im pretty sure he’d let us do tourneys whenever we want as long as we give him a heads up. If you actually get to know him a bit better, u find out that he actually is pretty interested in gaming himself and can get along with his regular customers pretty well (if you speak cantonese). Take him and the gundam crew for example lol.

Matt; Pui’s definitely right on this one. That manager bent over backwards for us. He switched all the cabs when asked. Fixed all our sticks and buttons ASAP. Fixed two coin slot issues for 3S and refunded money. He came to me asking what games I’d like to see in order to keep the players happy. He even watched and cheered with us during tourney play. I give their manager all the respect in the world. He helped all of us run a great tournament and I’m a big fan of his arcade.
not that i’m in much of a position to say anything since i wasn’t at this, but it has always been a known fact that the 3S people need signs. it’s even better if the owner wants the notices posted. i remember with the ranbats, the orbit guy was reluctant to let me put anything on the machines, but i think it made a difference.
Lovegety was really good last night. The owner deserves nothing but respect. If the sticks stay great for mvc2, I’ll keep coming back.
PS: Quan was the one who said the sticks were shit, he’s not from Sauga, even though I’m sure he wants to be

If you read my post correctly you would understand I wasn’t putting down the owner’s effort at getting T6, I said that no where in the world except Japan has T6, and for Toronto to be 2nd in the world to get this game is kind of shocking, and hard to believe (for me) but if the owner does it - great all the props to him! We all appreciate it and I would love it.
Learn to read posts more carefully next time, I say it the nicest way I could too. And thanks for the directions.
