If you mean 2009 members should be allowed to post Ebay links, then rules remain the same:
New members have to wait 6 months and have 50 posts before selling/trading.

If 50 was the only requirement then new members can spam post in the forums like “Cool”, “I wish i could buy that” etc etc. up to 50 post and start selling on the same day.
imo 6 month / 50 post requirement is perfect.
Some of them already tried that earlier in the year. I had to delete/infract a bunch of shit because a few idiots would spam other threads with eithert “…” or “Just posting to get my post count up”.
Ok i have an old account with SRK from like 2004… but i never really posted, this new account is only 4 months old but i have almost 300 posts and i frequent all forums. I even have purchased from people here and they can vouge for me. What are my options? I have paypal verified / ebay 100% feedback (90+) Still wait for another 2 months? or maybe use my old account and post 50 times so i fit the requirements? that seems weird…

and its not just to make your life more difficult or being a jerk. its because if other 09 people see you posting with an 09 account, then we are gonna hear all their whiny complaints everyday
Though if you decide to use your 04 account I suggest PMing an admin/supermod to have this account blocked. Multiple accounts are not allowed and unless you warn them, you might get both account banned.

I saw some posts popping up in the forum and a question came to mind, does the six months start on the first of the month where you would have been here for 6 months, or the day? For example, now that it’s July 1, is it only people from Jan 1 that can sell, or all of January to make it easy?

dam, so we have to check there profiles now to match exact date? I vote jan 1st is = to jan 31st. Like paying rent in an apartment, if you were there on the 1st, you have to pay for the full month
