You mean to tell me in this game, with all of its retarded bullshit with Phoenix and Wolverine, that Hsien Ko Gold Armor would be “too broken”? The fuck?
Not everyone can fire up the ol’ neurons so well when it comes to actually thinking about how Hsien-Ko’s balanced…
What comment are you referring to?
Oh, and LL.ND, was the damage on her hypers bumped up like the rumors said? Or is that an illusion created by the health bars in that build? Because it seemed like it on the SDCC streams.
Damage might seem higher because magic pixel is gone, but I didn’t really feel her hypers get stronger.
Also hope they give her S more horizontal range so that it doesn’t whiff on certain characters like here for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX78TLj6Se4 (@ 6:45)
edit: ALSO give st.M more vertical range as it does occasionally whiff on a crouching ammy or V.joe in hitstun. Argh!
Okay, that makes sense.
And good god yes, tweak her s.:s:. Yeah, give a character with nice ranged normals one of the shortest launchers in the game. Great idea…
It’s funny, because the move her laucher is taken from sucks in Vampire too. Though it’s somewhat ironic that they’d adhere to that aspect of her basic design and not others…
Hsien-Ko: Omit everything that was good, include everything that was bad. Ready to ship!
It’s an okay anti-air in VSav… with terrible recovery. I mean, she even falls on her ass in that game’s animation. I guess she doesn’t have anything else that looks like it could launch the enemy upward, I suppose. As my pipe dream, she could get a hammer that smashes them up into the air, Kirby style. I’m actually surprised she doesn’t have a hammer already, given her hammerspace power.
So the next gaming con is in 12 days. Maybe we can expect a new build by then?
I thought there was already a new build that included a number of changes, including revamped lifebars and X-Factor icon. It just wasn’t available at EVO.
Gamescom is Aug. 17-21 in Germany.
There’s a fight club in New York on the 18th and London on the 20th.
Judging by the timings of those events, I wouldn’t be surprised if something new was announced at Gamescom and playable at the fight clubs - maybe the teaser characters for SFxT and the new build for UMvC3. They’ve got to spread things out over the next few months though, so I’m not holding my breath.
Unsure, but I might go to the NYC fight club. I’m a bit out of practice and likely to be drawn more to SFxT, but that should be better than nothing considering the neglect of some characters at these events.
I vote that 6B is an overhead.
That’d help mixup game.
I feel for you guys. I had high hopes for her when I heard she might be in the game, and when she finally was confirmed, I was extremely disappointed. Both her and Haggar turned out to be complete ass in this game, and it’s a complete injustice to them. At this point, I have no confidence that they’ll be anything BUT ass in the next installment, but for all your sakes, I hope her an the mayor get some attention. I’m not touching this game until know for sure.
So apparently the reason why damage seems to have been increased is that most the cast have lost health. I’m hoping Hsien-Ko hasn’t lost health then she’d have a more suitable health value in comparison to the rest of the cast.
I don’t think they will. They already seem to acknowledge how much she sucks (and simultaneously turn a blind eye to it, damn doublethink); why give a slap in the face? Then again, who knows.
The characters that I’ve heard are getting an HP nerf are Wesker, Phoenix (why?), Sent (double why?), Akuma (why again?), and though I’m not sure about this one, Dante. Anyone I’m missing?
Nerf her health to 800k, and let super armor tick down as an assist. Then buff** everything** else about her.
Oh, everything? You mean, like, her items? Brilliant! You get a raise!
If she got her crazy rushdown back, then I’d be fine with that. Just so long as the health is justified by her offense, like Zero (though we all know who’s favored here).
Hey, other characters (Shulk, Dorm, CapAm) are getting speed buffs. Hope?
To be fair, those characters have big hitboxes and with zoning buffed across the board in UMvC3 they could be in big trouble even with their speed buff. Hsien Ko as one of the best anti-zoners in this game could very well benefit from this
They can nerf her items too, take away those ever so impressive bombs. I’m sure it’ll hurt, but we can learn to survive with training and perserverance. ‘__’
Maybe make her bomb toss like Dante’s style moves, so doing QCF+At is a regular item toss and QCF+At~At is a bomb toss, that’d solve the problem and still allow us to use bombs. Can only allow so many bombs on screen so it can’t be abused but fuck it, there’s so much abusable shit anyways having lots of bombs on screen would be great
Or hell, even just :qcf::s:. There, new move quota AND balancing fulfilled.
