P Kyo can do way more after a parry, then after a jd. I know there are way more things from the top tiers, that if he jdās, heās still at frame disadvantage, and canāt b&b like he can, after a parry. A and C Ken > N Ken. A Rolento > any other Rolento.
By the way to the guy that said P-Balrog is top tier, heās not. A groove and maybe C, but not P.

I dont really think its that low and like I said alot of those guys you can just swap out for other characters. It just depends on who you ask and why. Hell I almost put C/N Yama and S Athena or C/A Eagle in there instead of some of the others. That is the nice thing about CvS2, there is no concrete tier structure.

N Ken is better than A Ken, he has more offensive options in N. C Rolento is best because 3 ACās, A Rolento can hit a CC off random activate, and Knife, and that really doesnāt cut it in the long run. Lv3 wire is better anyway. About Kyo, he is REALLY scary raged, and is also better with run than dash.
how is kyo better with run than with dash? Almost all his 50/50ās are set up off of his dash. Not to mention the meaty strong set ups that nobody outside of svgl has really ever seen. Run is cool but its value doesenāt outweigh the dash as far as mix ups are concerned IMO. Second most important is the lowjump. This is why iād choose c/a kyo over n kyo, tho im fully aware that n-kyo is a lil better offensively. When i have the super iād rather have the dash for the 50/50ās. Thats why p kyo is the best overall. It has dash and lowjump.

N Ken has a low jump, A Ken has a stored CC. Iāll take the stored CC over low jump anyday.
A rolento has one less AC than C rolento, which doesnt make that big of a difference since you shouldnt be getting pressured on that much in the first place.
A Rolento can also activate on a connected (scouter) jump in mp, hk,mk reliably.
i still dont see why non comboed CC activations are that bad. the majority of blanka and sakās CC are blow thru activations.
trip wire is better than his CC? please. rolento is one of the only few characters that can punish stuff like 1/2 screen away with his CC, and he can tag characters in the air during it with the slide. trip wire requires your opponent to be totally grounded for it to connect. i dont know about you, but its hard as hell to land this move when you are losing and the opponent is running away.
out of curiosity, do you even play Rolento or u just think that way because [insert top player] said so and so.

I play K-rolento myself AND they must be a raison why Japaness think A-groove Rolento is less powerfull than C-K-N or P (correct me there if Iām wrong )⦠And with low jump mp + rage L3 super (even if people know the trick) there is a lot of different setup/variant that I use and that work very well.

never heard of KNP rolento being more (or less) powerful than A rolento in japan. as for C rolento, the best rolento player (shiro) uses him in C, which automatically makes C rolento look good.
The reason rolento isnāt used so much in a groove in japan is because landing that custom is really hard at the high level. They donāt fall for the baits like before and will sit there and alpha counter or take the throw rather than eating the custom. According to Campbell anyway. Rolento is useful in every groove but at the moment C groove rolento is looking really strong for the counters and lvl 3. N, K, P, and S all have low jump strong and low jump unblockable lvl 3 so thats just cheap
Top Japanese players use Rolento in every groove except A and S. Of course, thatās not the reason why A-Rolento is inferior. All the other Rolentos can land the super WAY easier than A-Rolento can land the CC.
You have:
-easy powerful 50/50 mix up: throw (with rolentoās huge throw range) or counter hit jab, link low forward into super
-random impossible to block cross up forward, combo into super
-jumping strong that beats everything, combo into super
-super to catch tech rolls on reaction
-easy full screen anti-projectile super
-s.forward super as a whiff punisher
-low jump shenanigans
Of course, A-Rolento can also do a 50/50 mix up with throw and random activate, but he canāt activate on reaction to somebody pressing something; itās an all or nothing guess. Other Rolentos can hit jab forward, see the jab hit, super.
C-Rolento edges out all the other Rolentos because not only do you get stored supers, level 2 tripwire, alpha counter abuse and roll cancels, you get air block, which helps Rolento immensely.
p rolento imo is the bestā¦
in c ya you get air block but in p you get parry, and low jump, which adds more mayham to the mix up, you dont get alpha counter but yous till have parry into whatever c.mkxxownage (b&b) or superā¦and his option selects are hella easy and safe, safer than most charactersā¦

all those options sounds good when hes winning or when he has momentum at his side. random impossible to block cross up combo into a super would have worked much better if only he had comboable c.lps or c.lks since j.mk into c.mk does not always combo. jumpin strong also combos into a CC. damage might get reduced but it still can rack up to 7K.
full screen trip wire works as anti projectile on reaction? iām not too sure but i remember gettin hit out of this shit. canāt really test it out in training mode too since the trip wire is really fucked up in training mode.
still, the main problem is getting his trip wire to connect when you are losing. opponents would turtle the ish outta him and heāll just die. i dont see how can he win vs a jump back vega if hes losing.
another major problem is that he dont have a āget the fuck off of meā move that does big damage in C. alpha counter does as much as a medium at best. P groove can at least ground parry into d.mk into patriot circle/super and A groove, just blow thru shit (even though his anti air CC is not guaranteed.)
i cant comment on japan about A groove rolento. seems like most A groove player there and here has at least 2 of the following characters: blanka, bison, sakura and/or hibiki with one other A groove character in their team. (me guilty as well)

Tripwire rolento definately gives rolento more options for damage than a-groove as well as more TIME (and there for more potential opportunities) to do damage.

It comes down to personal prefrence which Kyo you like, and you have to play at svgl to do meaty c.strong⦠Itās like K and P Cammy, it comes down to the one you like. Also N Ken isnāt just good for low jump, itās the combonation of run, low jump, and RC.
