you think FB is crazy now check this http://www.techspot.com/guides/444-get-facebook-timeline/
Been watching some Ken player wreck fools in ver.2012 for like an hour, you’d think they would put a win cap on but whatever.
psh yea right ken cant win without jab into sweep. ken is ruined dont lie
Yeah, I’m not too fond of backdashing only to be ocho’d/spd’d/TT’d/<insert command grab>/<insert any move>/etc on recovery because I only move back about 3 inches … But, it is what it is …
I know right? I also saw a Fuerte beat a Yun. HES SO LOW TIER NOW OMG!!!
So … all you sneaky people watching 2012 edition being played, have you seen any Cody players, or know where I can find videos of some? I would really like to know how much his walk speed has been increased …
Unless any of you play Hakan I don’t want to hear any complaining. =)
Hey guys, in the spirit of more gatherings, try this on for size:
Cookeville is central to Nashville (~1.1hr), Knoxville (~1.6hr), Chattanooga (~1.5hr), and Murfreesboro (~1.3 hr). Yeah, it’s still a bit of a drive, but everything under 2 hrs. I was thinking we should take advantage of that.
Would you guys be interested in a gathering like, once a month? Would give us a chance to level up against the rest of our East TN bretheren for whom the Nashville drive can be an imposing trek? Believe me, it’s worth the trip to go to GG, but I know it’s not something that’s easy to do frequently for most of y’all in Knox/Chattanooga.
Cookeville, we can host gatherings/provide crash space, right? I’d be able to host gatherings as a default, and have some couches/floor space, but would be good to have alternate/backups for additional crash space and/or for in cases when I might not be able to host. What can we do? I’m thinking Friday nights.
Nashville, you in? It’s always been a grand time when y’all have headed this way.
Knoxville, you in? You’ve got some good players out that way, but haven’t seen most of you in a while.
Chattanooga? I don’t even know you guys, do I? You do stuff, right? We should do this. I like your city.
Murfreesboro? Yeah dogg!
Bowling Green? …Maybe?
Memphis… dang it’s like 5 hours but you know you’re welcome too.
My ideas for the gatherings would be SF4AE FT5 round robin ranbat first, then casuals after. No pressure, just for fun, but this would provide a structure in which everybody has a chance to play everybody for a set number of matches, which I think is good practice for casual gatherings, and for people who are trying to learn the game.
Let me know interest/suggestions/comments, so I know whether this is something I should keep thinking about or not. Thanks!
Does Chattanooga still have those Monday night gatherings?
I know right
ROFL Severin…Yeah I figured you’d chime in next with Gen
LOL I know I couldn’t resist.
A gen player got 5th place out of 55 in the last ranbat.
He’s about at Ken now, maybe a little faster. I think this is great. Keep in mind that walk speed makes a gigantic difference when it comes to characters, so even if he’s not Dee Jay, it is still a big buff. Imagine if Ken could move like Akuma? Or if Bison moved like Ken? They’d be incredibly different characters.
No he didn’t. Low tier can never win.
Cale - I am in homie. We need to get together and hash out all of these gatherings. Ideas on venues to do this? We’d need reps from all scenes. We could start convos for each scene’s fight night here on SRK, G+, or (*dry heave) Facebook (*puke).
Also I like the FT5 format. What helps me the most I’ve found is playing a set, then analyzing what gave each player the most trouble. Then, go to training mode and find a way to deal with/beat I.
Thoughts?
Jacob Sparks needs to chill out…

Squabbler: I saw a Cody play a Sakura, walk speed looked very nice, he caused a tatsu to whiff just walking backwards, did not see the new bad spray properties or any knife stuff though.
Zutsuki: I know I’m down for this on the Bowling Green front, I think what’s most important though is having specific dates and times because with gas prices/ work schedules it’s imperative to be able to plan in advance and carpool. And the setup sounds awesome, I’m tired of playing Sparks once a week and that being the only offline experience I get and when I am able to make it down to GG for the tourneys I’m never able to get in casuals like I’d like to. Still shout-outs to 32 man tourney, shit was hype.
