Dear God… what is that?!
Maybe when I 1st got a FB I added everyone, but now? Nah. I’ll stick to people I actually know or have met. I feel like Twitter is just for people that want to be “different” because “Everybody got a FB now. It’s lame.” Other than that reason. I don’t see the point really. lol.
I always thought Twitter was an obnoxious version of Facebook. HAY GUYZ WASHING MY CARRRRR… For business it’s awesome, but for personal use it’s almost like a self esteem booster/voice. You can do the exact same thing on Facebook.
Shawn: I do like that cloud appliance for everything, because you are right, that is great but it doesn’t make a difference for the basic parts of Facebook, where it is still easy enough for people not savvy in much to use it. I’m glad for that because there is so much to do these days you will never have time to experience all of it in your lifetime…
Facebook has its uses. Namely, that everyone uses it. Badum Tsch.

For the longest time, I thought Twitter was the dumbest idea i’d ever heard, and on paper, it is. Having finally gotten around to making one, I see it’s brilliance and wish I had thought of it.
Twitter is essentially a platform for people that have a lot to say. It also has it’s uses in business of course, but I think it’s main appeal is just that public forum. It’s a way for people like myself, that love meeting and interacting with new people, to do so without being weird (you can protect accounts, so if you don’t want people on there or they don’t want to add you, you don’t).
The additional appeal is that never before (to my knowledge) has there been such a direct connection to industry leaders and figures for the things you are interested in. I am big into fashion, music, gaming, etc, and I can follow those individuals directly. Twitter has become so ubiquitous now, that a lot of time news hits Twitter before it hits CNN or other news outlets. I’ve come across a ton of new music and artists projects through twitter.
All that said, I can see how people would think it’s lame, and ultimately, to each his own, but I effing love it and you should all make one and follow me

Well, the Dutch government said that we can stay. Woo. I have real internet and can play fighting games online, now. And then we get a notice stating that we’ll be getting our residency permit. Now we can move to a less shitty apartment and start settling in!
