Seriously, my team can get zoned to hell. Eugene can zone it decently, as long as I don’t land one hit early on in the match.
As long as ppl continue to press buttons like idiots vs hulk he will continue to get free wins. And what’s funny is that st.M is technically a better move, since the super armor kicks in faster and the move is faster overall. It almost has the range of st.H (doesn’t hit behind Hulk’s feet though) and is easily hit-confirmable.
There’s two real “problems” with st.H: it’s special cancellable, and it option selects to ground throws. The fact that it can be special cancelled means it can never be punished. I can just react to the block with dp Gamma Charge and be +5 advantaged. Since it can os to throws, Hulk has a HUGE advantage at the beginning of the match. You can just grind up against the opponent and mash H. If they break it and get their st.H, Hulk’s will always beat it.
As for UMvC3 Hulk, I don’t think the added hits of super armor with st.H will change him dramatically. The main reported nerf that scares me is a slower j.H and j.S. Both are used for pressure and can already be easily antiaired. It’s as if Capcom is pushing for Hulk to just be the st.H whore they want him to be…
I get the feeling that his charged punch new move in UMvC3 is basically a focus attack. Sick Viper-style corner unblockables with a good assist on the horizon?
Probably not near as good as Viper’s, but similar. I don’t think it will be unblockable after fully charging it either.

I tell ya, the only thing more embarrasing than my gameplay (which I’m actually not embarrased by in the slightest), is homeboy’s commentary. It is our duty to never let him anywhere near a mic-phone again.
This is truth. You can hear more hype commentary listening to the Walmart intercom with them telling employees to do shit than on that video.

Yeah, he just showed up that day, after not showing up for months, and wanted to jump on commentary. I told him to his face that he can never do commentary again.
Sadly, I remember one instance where the commentary in a video was worse. The guys didn’t even commentate on the match. Instead, they made fun of the two players playing SF (which, they weren’t that bad) and how they looked. It wasn’t like they were trying to be funny either. They were just being dicks.
And Chris, you don’t even play Marvel. I’m sure you’d destroy me in AE, which you can prove Saturday.

Super late but GG’s to everyone at the Memphis Tournament on Saturday. Great meeting more of the East TN crew for the first time and seeing the one’s I’ve already met once again!
Super shout-outs to Abe for running the tournament and finding the venue. I know running that tournament was running you ragged. Next time I think we’re gonna have a small group of people all running it together so one person doesn’t get swamped with all the work (making it basically impossible for that person to be able to perform 100% if they are playing in the tourney).
Good stuff to T&G for letting us use their store for the tourney. Hopefully we can do more (with better AC lol).
